Taye makes quality affordable drums, and this Taye snare drum is no different. It's an excellent snare for the price, easily as good as most of the major name snare drums.
I've been through a lot of snares through my life looking for that perfect gem. And now I've finally found it! This steel snare isn't unlike other steel snares from all the "big name" companies. It's something better! I've played maple, birch, aluminum, and brass snares from the other guys but this taye snare just blows them all away. Comes with studded gaskets to give out more resonance, comes with nylon snare cords, and comes with some surprisingly good snares as well! Even the stock Dynaton heads are good! I have the 6.5x14 and I couldn't be happier! One other thing... Don't let the size fool you. This snare is VERSATILE.
