Start producing music or podcasts today with the TrackPack X2 Bundle from TASCAM. You get a TASCAM US-122mkII audio interface, a condenser microphone, and the recording software to make it all, Cubase LE4.

The TASCAM US122mkII is your computer's gateway into the audio world. More than just a soundcard, it has a pair of quality microphone preamps for connecting any type of microphone. High-quality condenser microphones”like the included TM-78”require phantom power to operate, which is available on the US-122mkII via switch. Another switch turns on the line input, for recording powered devices like keyboards, drum machines, and guitar-amp modelers. You can even plug your guitar or bass directly into the US-122mkII. With two inputs, you can record two microphones or sound sources at once.

The TrackPack X2 also comes with Cubase LE4 software. This software gives you plenty of tracks”up to 48”to put together a song arrangement, one track at a time. It's simple to use, and you can edit your tracks to fix timing and pitch errors. Cubase LE4 has a professional-quality mixer built in with plug-in effects like reverb, compression, distortion, auto-pan, and more. There are more free and commercial VST plug-ins available for this software than any other format. Cubase LE4 supplies everything you need to record your music and turn it into a finished CD.

Biggest Piece of Garbage and Company Too!!!!!!!

By Kathy

from Plainfield, IL

I purchased this product for my daughter for Christmas. We could not register the software because there are no product codes that come with. After numerous calls and trips to the store, calls to the manufacturer with no response, I am returning this product and good riddance to Tascam and Guitar Center!!!!! DON'T BUY THIS, IT'S NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!!!!!!!!

Don't buy this product!

from Sandy, OR

The software (Steinberg Cubase LE5) SucKS!!! We can't even get ours licensed -- the activation code that this company sent us has somehow been used already even though its a brand new product. The whole registration process is stupid, redundant, and futile...and that's just the registration. We haven't even begun to use the software yet! Who WRITES this software? What a ripoff!! I guess we'll return it.

The worst purchase I have ever made from here.

By Brandon

from Uniontown, PA

Alright. I got this from Guitar Center in Pittsburgh for Christmas. The employee told me "This was a great buy for your money and the program is very user friendly". And then after I buy it they tell me you can't make returns on recording equipment. Well that kind of annoyed me but I was like well, whatever. So I got it home from guitar center and went to install the program. That was a HUGE hassel. And then I go to install the drivers for the interface and the disc doesn't support Windows 7. I mean, come on, it's 2010 going on 2011? Windows 7 came out in what, 2009? But ok, I got past that because I searched and found the driver on Tascam's website. So now I was to record. I start recording a song and I'm think "Yeah, this is cool" and then it starts going haywire. A disgusting noise ruins my recording and I have to unplug the interface and restart the recording. It does that every time. I am so disappointed with Tascam. I will never purchase from them again. I'm going to try to get my money back from guitar center and put it towards a Pro Tools/Mbox package. So if you don't want to learn the hard way, take my advice. DO NOT BUY THIS. Take your money and save it to get something better.

Worth your money

By Hector

from Lancaster,CA

Great value. I use my interface to hook up my guitars, turntables, and speakers. I connect it to my computer to record. I have owned it for 6 months and it has been very reliable. I don't really use it to actually record my vocals due to latency. I connect the mic to a Tascam DP01 FX/CD Digital Portastudio. Other than my slow computer latency it great. The earphones work well also. Cubase is okay.

Good recording package

By Nick

from Boise ID

I had a bit of trouble with the setup process, as the software's instructions didn't really mirror the instructions in the manual that came with the package. Neither set of instructions were very specific so I eventually had to take my setup in to a store to get help, mostly with just understanding. Once it was explained to me (took 3 employees to find someone capable) I was ready to start recording. Sound quality is good, and the software isn't too difficult to navigate.

amazing package

By Derek Daulton

from Visalia, CA

i got this set for christmas, and i love it. the interface is simple, the software is easy enough, its been great being able to document my ideas and orchestrate and experiment. however, i have had it happen twice where i ended up losing a whole unsaved project when i inserted a fade out or a reversed part. but this could just be my cruddy cpu. all in all, id definitely recommend this package.
