The 4 midi ins and outs is one of the reasons this DAW mixer is the best out there for the price. I use it with Cubase and I have my Triton and MPC midi'd with no problems. The eight inputs let me hook up the audio from these units as well. I just flip the direct monitoring on in Cubase and everything sounds perfect. My workflow recording has sped up tremendously. The only time I had to contact Tascam was the first time I bought the unit and I didn't quite understand how to set it up. Their customer service was HORIBBLE! And they have a forum which they want donations from customers who spent $1300 on the product in order to keep the forum up! Other than that, the unit is great.
Bought this item a year ago and I'm pleased to say I am very happy with this product. Easy to configure and work with any top of the line recording software. You will not regret purchasing the item at all!!! I use Cubase 4 and it work wonderfully smooth as butter.
