Comments about Tascam CD-RW900MKII CD Recorder/Player:

We use the CD-RW900MKII CD Recorder/Player for our church. We haven't had it long enough to figure out all the ins and outs of it. But so far we love it. Maybe I'm imagining it, but it seems to have a better sound than the old one. It is definitely an improvement. I would like for it to have the capability to hold more than just one CD at time. But that's a minor issue.

Comments about Tascam CD-RW900MKII CD Recorder/Player:

Having now worked with this recorder deck for well over a week (it took me some time and practice to understand and use it functionally), I feel that I can write about it with some level of experiential authority. Believe me when I tell you that this machine is worth far more than its actual cost! The overall recording volume, the dynamic headroom, the sonic quality of its music recordings all are noticeably superior to those of similar CD-R decks, particularly (though not necessarily) when those recordings are accomplished through a digital input. Unlike earlier models, this recorder offers various, nearly-infallible options for accurately assigning track numbers to songs or sections. Couple all the many aforementioned benefits with TASCAM/TEAC's reinforced mechanism and strong overall construction, and you have a very dependable, worthwhile sound recording product, one which is suitable for use either at home (my personal choice) or in a disco rack installation (mounting already included).

Comments about Tascam CD-RW900MKII CD Recorder/Player:

Even more than I had anticipated, this machine meets my recording needs (and preferences) perfectly ! The sound quality is outstanding, most remarkable for the reasonable price tag. Among its features, I particularly appreciate the "DD (Digital Disc) Mode," which sets the tracks though in sequence rather than auditorily. For disc-to-disc dubbingthe player has a direct digital output, either optical or coaxial, it can (if you wish) be connected directly to this machine for copying. The tracks are set automatically, precisely where they should be. It works every bit as well as (or better than) a side-by-side dub with with an old dual-well recorder. (Incidentally, those dual-wells no longer are being built.) // Another neat feautre is the direct connection to keyboards. If I played piano decently (this goes for other digital keyboards,.too), I easily could connect to the Tascam for recording, by accessing a jack located conveniently on the front panel !

          Good Qualtity CD Recorder/Player

          By Erics Music Live

          from Preston, CT

Comments about Tascam CD-RW900MKII CD Recorder/Player:

This CD recorder is easy to use, but you do have to spend a few minutes with the users manual to learn the key sequences to record. I am using a passive Mackie PA connected via RCA plugs directly into the recorder. The played recordings sound exactly like what was played. The only thing I had to figure out for myself is that, in order to record with adequate volume, I had to turn the PA volume up and the active speaker volumes down from half to quarter. Even with the input volumes all the way up on the CR recorder, I was not getting the volume until I adjusted to active speakers which allowed for more volume without feedback. As you record, you can adjust the voices and instruments to get a balanced sound by looking at the volume indicator on the CD recorder when on record mode. Great addition to my music studio.
