This Tascam adaptor provides AC power for the MPGT1 Guitar Trainer, CDGT2 Guitar Trainer, and DR1 and DR-07 Portable Digital Recorders.
The adaptor works fine with the Recorder and extends your recording capability beyond the battery life restriction. More importantly it allows you pleanty of time to concentrate on the post recorning process of mixing, mastering and converting to WAV files which seems to be battery intensive.

Hey, what can I say. It's an AC adapter. I own a Tascam DR-1 and had a couple of instances where my rechargeable battery ran out during band rehearsals. Not good. No more. I always plug in now so I don't miss anything.

The built-in mics using MP3 format are good enough for recording practices. I use a small mixer with 2 mics and line from the main sound board then a line into the DR-07 to record for CDs and web casting. I've had a little trouble with my Mac and WAV format. The AC adaptor is a good idea, however, 2 new AA batteries lasted for 4 sets. Note: the 2GB SD card recording in WAV format will only capture 2.5 sets so get a spare.

I just there's no much to say about a power adapter but it beats having to use batteries. Great addition to my Tascam DR07
