Overview

The Tama Starclassic Performer Bubinga/Birch Custom Snare Drum has 7 inner plies of birch-for the rich tonality that only thin birch can supply-paired with an inner ply of African bubinga. The harder, thicker bubinga accentuates birch's distinct tone and projection. The combination of the 2 tonewoods creates a more powerful, deeply rounded sound that is unlike any other drum. The Tama Starclassic snare drum is finished with a gorgeous single outer ply of bubinga.

Comments about Tama Starclassic Performer B/B Snare Drum:

I have wanted this snare drum for years and I finally got one. This snare drum is the best drum I have ever played on in my life. Its size, sound, depth, and die cast hoops are amazing. This snare is great for any style of drumming especially gospel and r&b. On my snare I have a Remo coated controlled sound head and a Remo hazy on the bottom. I encourage everyone to try it out and better yet buy one. It is worth it.

Awesome tone!

Comments about Tama Starclassic Performer B/B Snare Drum:

I bought this snare drum in stores about 2 months ago and i absolutely loved it! I usually prefer Yamaha, Pearl, Gretsch, or Ludwig snares but this one is right up there with DW collectors, Gretsch Renown maples and Pearl Master series. Of course i went in the store to get addition hook up but these snares are worth the price! If you want to hear the sound of these snares, i recommend checking them out on Youtube!

Comments about Tama Starclassic Performer B/B Snare Drum:

This is now my work horse snare that I play 80 percent of the time I cant say enough great things about this snare the sound and quality are unmatched and talk about easy to tune tight or fat it sounds great, I play mainly rock and roll but some gospel and alittle heavy metal. If u get this snare u wont be disapointed at all I have more exspensive pearl tama and ludwig snares but they are all good snares I just think this starclissic is GREAT!!

    Great Snare

Comments about Tama Starclassic Performer B/B Snare Drum:

Nice and woody. Put thicker Remo heads on it (Controlled Sound X and an Emporer Hazy) and a 42-strand strainer and it's a beefcake. Love it.

Comments about Tama Starclassic Performer B/B Snare Drum:

This snare is simply amazing. I bought it about 6 months ago and this is my main snare. I am a gospel and jazz drummer and it really works well for me. I have a Remo controlled sound coated on the top and for my bottom head i have a Remo hazy on it. I would recommend this snare to anyone who wants a good, big, and fat sound for their snare. You wont regret it at all.
