There are tons of reviews on this stand so I'm just going to tell you the things I haven't seen mentioned:

It's a Lever-Glide stand much like the Iron Cobra. The main differences are in the longer Speed Cobra footboard and the included Swing Lock clutch. This stand is extremely fast, very smooth, very quiet, and totally adjustable. I'm so stoked I finally got it. The Swing Lock clutch is kind of a joke for use with cymbals, but it is perfect for storing the rod inside the tube because it has a groove the tube fits in.

Or in other words:

IT'S FAST LIKE A COBRA AND WILL MAKE YOUR HI HATS BITE... LIKE A COBRA

I using my High Hat stand with the Roland drum set I set up at home, so as not to bother the neighbors, but wanted a more real High Hat feel than the foot pedal that comes with the Roland. My Tama was fine, ususally I use a Pearl, but they did not have a 2 leg stand that was priced in the pro levels, I also agree with the other review, not happy its made in China, normally I would not have bought it, but there no other options avaliable that would fit my needs.

Excellent: Smooth, quiet and nice pedal action

Comments about Tama Speed Cobra Hi-Hat Stand:

I bought this over the Iron Cobra only because I was also ordering the Speed Cobra 910 Double Bass Drum Pedal. It's excellent. Easy to adjust and I am finding the longer pedal board beneficial for different footwork on the hi-hat cymbals.

Comments about Tama Speed Cobra Hi-Hat Stand:

Great Hihat. I have used many and by today's standards I think they are all good. I use the Yamaha Flying Dragon series pedals with hihat. I also have TAMA and they both work real well. I really enjoy my original Iron Cobras with Dupont Kevlar Straps! So after close research with this Speed Cobra series I ordered two pedals with Hihat. The Hihat really surprised me. It is now my favorite along with the other two Speed Cobras. My only complaint is that TAMA should have made a hard case like they do their pedals. My Original Iron Cobras are now on my practice kit. Nothing wrong with that either.

This is a very well designed hi-hat. There is no lost motion due to fit, function, and manufacturing tolerances. Very pleased and very glad I made this choice.

Comments about Tama Speed Cobra Hi-Hat Stand:

I love the way this stand breaks down to hide the rod within the top section of the stand. Plus, the foot board folds up while attached. Most importantly, the felt for the bottom hat is attached and not floating around in your hardware bag. Every hardware company should make their hat stands like this model. There is nothing I would change!

Comments about Tama Speed Cobra Hi-Hat Stand:

This hi-hat has great action, it's responsive & smooth. No matter what your playing level is, you won't regret paying more for better hardware. Be it top of the line Pearl, DW, Tama, Axis & such...you'll not look back & say I should've got the better one. This hi-hat is solid with pro foot board & two leg set up so you can work it around your kit.

Comments about Tama Speed Cobra Hi-Hat Stand:

I bought this hi-hat pedal to match my double-kick pedals and couldn't be happier with it. It is sturdy, easy to adjust and looks awesome. The only complaint is TAMA isn't the best with their manuals - things are a little vague.

I recommend these to anyone looking for a SOLID hi-hat pedal.

Comments about Tama Speed Cobra Hi-Hat Stand:

I've been using Tama hardware for about 15 years now and it has never let me down. I got this stand about 4 months ago and love it. The construction of this stand is light weight, but can take a beating. I got this stand to go with my speed cobra peddle, they look great together and the action in impeccable and they have a lot of good features. i can sit here and tell you all about it, but it would be easier if you just got it yourself. The only problem I have with it is that it says made in China, but it works great.
