Tama has pushed limits for nearly 40 years and the HH915N Speed Cobra Hi-Hat Stand carries forward the tradition. Designed after the highly-acclaimed Iron Cobra Hi-Hat Stand, the Speed Cobra Hi-Hat Stand has a smooth and fast action by way of Tama's Lever-Glide System. In addition, the Speed Cobra Hi-Hat stand offers new hardware innovations - the "Spring Seat" and "Swing Lock Clutch" systems which help deliver a more natural sound with additional resonance from the hi-hat cymbals.

I using my High Hat stand with the Roland drum set I set up at home, so as not to bother the neighbors, but wanted a more real High Hat feel than the foot pedal that comes with the Roland. My Tama was fine, ususally I use a Pearl, but they did not have a 2 leg stand that was priced in the pro levels, I also agree with the other review, not happy its made in China, normally I would not have bought it, but there no other options avaliable that would fit my needs.
The adjust-ability features of this hi hat stand way exceeded my expectations and the long foot-board provides nearly unlimited control. appears to be well made just like Tama hardware always is. the on the fly tension controller is a way-Cool innovation for sure!!
I've been using Tama hardware for about 15 years now and it has never let me down. I got this stand about 4 months ago and love it. The construction of this stand is light weight, but can take a beating. I got this stand to go with my speed cobra peddle, they look great together and the action in impeccable and they have a lot of good features. i can sit here and tell you all about it, but it would be easier if you just got it yourself. The only problem I have with it is that it says made in China, but it works great.
I have been using tama stands for 25 years + because they were always sturdy and well made. NOT ANY MORE!I pulled the stand out of the box and immediatly noticed how cheap it felt. I looked down at the box and saw MADE IN CHINA. I can see maybe an entry level stand made in china, but a $233 high-end stand?? I must say, I'm moving away from Tama. It's sad, really. I guess they're into profit more than quality these days...Too bad.
