Comments about Tama Rhythm Watch RW200:

My first interaction with the Tama Rhythm Watch was during high school drum line in 1996. From that time it has been my go to metronome. The design hadn't changed much since my first experience back in '96, until this most recent upgraded version.

The RW200 has improved upon many of the previous models' features and design. Here are the notable upgrades I like:

    +Sleaker body design
    +Sturdier feeling knobs and buttons
    +Separate Tap/Tempo button
    +Phones & Line (1/8" & 1/4"). (old version only had 1/8")
+Clear/bluish back light (old version had a greenish tint)
+Toggle up and down through programmed tempos (old version could only go up)
+Tempo doesn't skip when you change the tempo on the fly using the tempo knob. (See video for demo)

Comments about Tama Rhythm Watch RW200:

The ability to program up to 30 tempos in a specific order makes this metronome perfect for gigs. When set in "stage mode" you just touch START and get 8 seconds of the song tempo. Then the Rhythm Watch stops and automatically advances to the next song's tempo so you can just hit START for that tune. Works great and mounts on your cymbal stand so you can put it within easy reach but out of your way.

Comments about Tama Rhythm Watch RW200:

I use the product in practice environment. I'm teaching myself what differing rhythm patterns sound like. I'm using it to find the BPM's of my favorite songs. This is an easily configurable device.

Comments about Tama Rhythm Watch RW200:

I bought this because I got tired of wearing earbuds or headphones while practicing and the click is loud enough to be heard over drums. The subdivision controls and accenting are intuitive to use. However I did not realize that it does not come with an AC power supply. The 9 volt battery supplied with my device was dead!

Comments about Tama Rhythm Watch RW200:

I'm a drummer that has always kept good time. Saying that, the RW200 leaves nothing to chance. And, more and more bands are requiring the use of a "click" for performances. You can store up to 30 different tunes if need be. The ability to adjust the meter on the fly is a real plus. It's easy to use and easy to hook up to the band's sound board so one or more band members can hear it (depends on your board). The only downside is that it does not come with the holder that can attach to any one of your stands. Tama---Charge me the extra few dollars and include the holder as an option!

Comments about Tama Rhythm Watch RW200:

As a long time owner of the prior model Tama RW, I have always wanted to be able to go backwards in my programmed setlist of tempos without switching the unit off/on, cycle up to the song... etc. Now I can, fwd and backward! The lighting is a cool blue that shows the entire display and not just half of it in green as with the prior model. Battery level is now displayed, finally! Separate tap tempo button, very nice. It's slightly smaller, more sleek than the old model and I like the black color instead of the old gray. Price is pretty much the same as when I got my old model. Wish they included more sound options instead of their usual two. Adjusting tempo on the fly does not jump, but provides a smooth transition now. Still the best drummer metronome I've used.

Comments about Tama Rhythm Watch RW200:

I really like mine, have used it for 10 years, always functions well (though remove the batteries if you are storing for awhile--they seem to like to rot in there). It has very useful rhythm adjustments, outputs--you name it. Tama also has a handy clamp to screw into it, so the drummer can mount it wherever it suits best (hi hat for me). I output it into my StudioKans, which not only protects my hearing (pfui on mesh heads!), but allows me to concentrate on my timing. I can't imagine most drummers needing anything more, or getting as much use out of anything less. Tama has held the price on these as well, great value!
