Comments about Tama Practice Pad Stand:

I got this stand to hold my Korg Mini Wavedrum. Even though the Wavedrum is considerably smaller than most drums that this stand was intended for, it fits reasonably well and securely in the adjustable arms. I'm pretty tall and I can use this to play my Wavedrum standing up thanks to the extension bar. At full height it's pretty stable. Overall it's well made. Recommended.

      Great stand! Too loud!

      By Wesley Meyer

      from USA BABY

Comments about Tama Practice Pad Stand:

This stand is sturdy as the other guy mentioned, however it is to ridged that the hits reverberate so much I can not use this in my appt. I have a weaker cheap bells stand and a boom stand that make much less noise and I am forced to use those instead of this, which I thought would be a great replacement.

Comments about Tama Practice Pad Stand:

This item has amazing quality. The materials used to make the product are thick and strong. The only problem was two sets of instructions came in the box but one was for a similar but different product which made you think you were missing a part. Once we figured out which instructions were the right ones, we did have all the parts. Assembly was simple.

Finally a Quality Practice Pad Stand

Comments about Tama Practice Pad Stand:

I searched for a long time to find a practice pad stand. Although there are a lot of practice pads out there, until now, I couldn't find a stand that allows you to sit in front of the pad like you would a snare drum. Who can really practice effectively while hunched over on a bed or standing in front of a table? Are these positions drummers are usually in when playing?

The choices before seemed very limited; either try to use a cymbal stand, which doesn't adjust down to a low enough height or settle on using the non-rubber, skinned type practice pad (ex. Remo) which can be purchased with a stand, but in my opinion are noisier and less responsive than the wood/rubber pad type of practice pads (HQ percussion Real Feel, Vic Firth pads for example).

The Tama practice pad stand is exactly what I was looking for. It is extremely adjustable and allows you to set up your practice pad at the same height and angle as your working kits snare. The stand is also extremely sturdy and significantly reduces noise compared to using a pad on a tabletop. Although not explicitly stated in the product description, the stand can accomodate octagon shaped pads as well as those that are round.

If you are serious about practicing and need to use a practice pad at times to do so, then get this stand! It will allow you to practice more effectively by being in a normal drumming position.

One more thing, the stand does come with an extension tube which I believe would be useful for marching band type drummers who typically stand while playing.

Comments about Tama Practice Pad Stand:

This is a perfect product for anyone looking to practice quietly. I used to set my pad on my lap or on a table, but now that I have this stand I feel like I'm playing an actual snare, without the noise. I can practice rudiments well into the night without disturbing anyone in my house. I would recommend this for anyone who uses a practice pad.
