Tama’s extra-thick rubber foot covers completely isolate the stand from floor vibrations.
The tilter features Tama’s unique multi-steel-plate Vice Grip compression approach cinches and secures this critical axis with remarkable strength and assuredness. Tama solves the age-old problem of metallic buzzing/rattling by embedding a plastic insert inside the T-handle stem.

Liked this stand at first, but then it went bad. After about a month of use, It became loose. Where the boom extension attaches to the vertical stand, there is a threaded fitting. This fitting is pressed into the vertical extension tube, and then threaded into the boom when it is attached. The crimping did not hold up, and is now totally loose and wobbles. While it does not fall out, it is useless.
