Comments about Tama Iron Works Studio Telescoping Boom Arm:
We just received and began using these boom. For years, we have been disappointed with durability and utility of the booms on the various mic stands we used (Ultimate Stands, Atlas, DR Pro, Hercules etc.). Finally, it seems that we have found a product that holds up much better. The joint and the adjustment hardware seem built to last. The boom has a wonderful counter weight to balance the heavier mics that we use when recording as opposed to live performances. Based on our initial experience using these booms, we believe that I will be very pleased, despite the extra expense. We hope to drastically reduce the number of booms that we have to replace in the future as a result of this boom. The only thing that would be better is that our local store would carry Tama's Iron Works Mic stand line in the store.
