This pedal is by far one of smoothest pedals I played on. The power of this pedal is awesome. The settings out of the box are awesome. You dont have to make any major adjustments to this pedal unless you want a heavier or more powerful stroke. Heavy duty, great quality, and dependable, these are greats and truthful qualities to this pedal. Definately worth every penny.

I have had these pedals for about two years now, and I have been consistently adjusting them. I just cannot get these pedals adjusted how I like them. I'm not sure what it is, but they feel really slow, like they lag behind. And whenever I do single pedal stuff with them (doubles and triples) there just isn't any power. I can do doubles and triples easily with a Pearl Eliminator that we have at my church. I don't know if it's the PowerGlide cams or what, but I just cannot get the speed I would like out of these pedals. The Cobra Coil is quite a gimmick in my opinion. Great in theory, but i just took mine off because if you use it with the pedal board low, the pedal board will pop up before the beater comes back, which leaves slack in the chain and it'll just slow you down. The left pedal seems to lag behind as well. Don't get me wrong, these pedals are built very solid and have many adjustments, but I just couldn't get them how I wanted them. Not for me.

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra Power Glide Double Pedal:

I bought these only 3 days ago. They replaced my dw 3000 's which i didnt like very much. Right away
i felt the difference and the feel is quite amazing. Very quick and controllable. Sturdy and feel tough.
A small downside just to be fair is the clip that hooks up to the bass drum.. its probably just my own problem
bc im using a Roland kit and the bass drum is different than an acoustic one. So the clip was a bit weird to hook up. But i got it on there and im glad i bought them. Super quick and just an awesome pedal. I couldnt imagine anyone not liking these. 900 series Power glide.

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra Power Glide Double Pedal:

This is a great pedal with a few caveats. The biggest of which being that it is impossible to center on a 20" bass drum due to the offset "Para Clamp II" which pushes the hoop clamp further to the right than on a traditional pedal. That's not to say it can't be centered, it just cannot be clamped down. Otherwise it will raise the pedal at an angle instead of being flush with the ground.

The other issue I have with this pedal is the cheap plastic nuts used on the spring tension assembly. While the half-moon shaped "Spring Tight" tension rods and the lower, locking action of the bottom nut is genius, the top plastic nut frequently comes loose and introduces unnecessary waver to the entire spring tension assembly. I corrected this design flaw with metal nuts taken off a scrap pedal by a competing brand.

Aside from these annoyances the pedal is rock-solid and performs well. The number of adjustments that can be made is impressive. I just wish I could center the thing on my 20" bass.

              By Brandon Weaver

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra Power Glide Double Pedal:

I got these pedals around a month ago hoping they would be a great upgrade from my old pedals (DW 2000) and WOW! It's literally effortless to use these things even with speedy metal double bass patterns. Recoil is amazing, very fluid, and very powerful. Brought my bass drum to life from the second i set them up. Out of the box settings are what i stick to because they're amazing. Excellent product, Excellent construction, Definitely boosted my playing style 10x. 5/5 is not high enough to rate my satisfaction.

              Decent, NOT WORTH THE PRICE

              By Sterling Hershey

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra Power Glide Double Pedal:

I recently "upgraded" from a Jr. to this and I was buying into the reviews. I like my Jr. better than this pedal and this is OVER twice the cost! The pedal isn't that smooth if you're a long board player (like me). It is adjustable, but after 3 weeks I couldn't find a good setting whatsoever. My advice would be to just get a Speed Cobra. WAY smoother of a pedal for all types of players.
