These beaters are GREAT! They are very lightweight and I thought they weren't going to have alot of power, but these things pack a huge punch! They're powerful, speedy, and smooth! Joey Jordison uses the wood ones along with two Iron Cobra Power Glide pedals in the slipknot DVD Disasterpieces! He gets that hard clicky sound with those wood beaters. The only reason I didn't give it a 5.0 for overall, is because my personal favorites are the Pearl Quad Beaters and Eliminator Pedals. But Next to that is the Tama Iron Cobra Power Glide Pedals and Iron Cobra wood beaters

I've had a better experience with the felt beater, but this review is for the wood beater. I bought them to use with my roland kd-8 kick trigger and within 10 minutes of playing one of the wooden beaters came unglued. This is not something I want to happen when it comes show time. I may even return these and just get a solid wood danmar.

tama rubber beaters

By james king

from topeka kansas

i use these with my axis pedals, they are a little heavier than the marksman beaters. they are the best in my opinion. good weight with a shorter shaft. Love em!

Excellent! definitely buy

By KENNY WATSON

from Ofallon, IL

I went from the multi-side beaters on my pearl pedals to the rubber ones of these. i love them, by far the best beaters ive ever used. lightweight and great for speed and tricks. ive seen the multi-side beaters explode and fall apart, had these for over a year now and not one issue.

Wood CB90s

By Nick Plonski

from Osceola, Indiana

If your looking for a great, punchy beater, look no further. I used to have some huge felt beaters (because I was an idiot) that were just weighing me down. I can't believe how light these beaters are. Well, compared to those heavy felt beaters anyway. Hands down, the best beaters I've ever used

Instant Speed

By dunadan

from NC

I use Tama pre-Iron Cobra pedals, singles and doubles. I have replaced all of the old traditional beaters with IC's and wish I had done so years ago. The rebound speed is much faster with these lighter beaters without losing any power. The rubber model is insanely quick on my vintage Techstar kick pads.

too heavy.

By Patrick

from Newton NH

I thought these beaters would be lightweight and have a great sound too them, but I was wrong. The beaters are way too heavy. I'm ready to go back to my old factory brand beaters. I have the rubber beaters and they were far from lightweight. I can't even double bass a constant line at any speed any more, thats how heavy they are. so unless you're used to heavy beaters or if you kick hard on your pedal than get these, but if not than get something lighter.

Amazing beater!

By AluminumPancake

from Lewisburg, Pennsylvania

I replaced a round felt beater on my stock pedal with the rubber CB90 beater, and it sounded infinitely better. With the right tuning/dampening on any bass drumhead, it will sound great. A friend of mine also uses the wooden one on his set and it sounds spectacular. They're lightweight and easy and smooth to play, but have a lot of power. I recommend this to anybody.

Fast and Furious Beater

By Gretscher2600

from Eastford, CT

The Tama CB90 Pedal Beater is, by far, one of the best beaters I have ever used. Don't let the small size of this beater worry you. It still produces a nice tone, it's fast, and it's lightweight, but it still produces a heavy tone if you want it to. It has a lot of adjustments too and it's just great. I still prefer the Axis Percussion hammer beater, but next to this, this is awesome. Go and get the Tama CB90 Pedal Beater, you won't regret it.
