I got this stand with my drumset years ago and it's still working great. It's been through lots of abuse going to gigs and still looks awesome. I recomend it to anyone who is a serious drummer and wants a get stand that will last forever. Also it has a great cymbal clutch on it that grips from both sides.
I always carry a backup HH, snare stand and a sinlge bass pedal, drumheads.... Working in a Cover/Dance Band, you gotta be ready for any situation. Originally I purchased this stand as a back up to my Iron Cobra HH805 velo. This is practically the Iron Cobra velo with 3 legs. A well thought out, solid design and a great price for the Tama HH stand. Back up or Primary stand, you can't go wrong.
This stand beats out any other HH stand on the market. This stand is as sturdy as a rock and has never fallen over on me.The feeling this stand has is great. You can do all different HH rhythms with it and if your like me and you like to keep time on the HH with your foot it is really easy. My old stand made it feel like work. The clutch will never slip on you. The 5-way tension control is great, I have jingles on top of my stand and with the tension control i can make them feel like there not there. The best part about it is the price. The other stands for the same price don't even compare to this one. You could probably spend $175 and get a stand with a some extra bells and whistles but why? This stand has everything you need and will last you a long time.
