This stand is built like a rock. I have extended almost to limit with a 16" crash on it. Only the slightest wooble. I recommend this stand for everyone! It came in a box (duh), and then wrapped in brown paper to protect from scratching its-self. I would trust this stand with any cymbal. Grab one or a bunch! Its worth every penny.

The Tama Road Pro stands are decent medium weight stands. They aren't even close to being the most heavy duty stands around nor are they near as heavy duty as previous Tama hardware lines. If you want to know heavy duty grab the Gibraltar 9000 series. The stand is well designed. There is some concern over construction at the joints - no heavy duty memory locks and pretty much bolt pressure. For local gigging or for use with a compact Tama set these stands are adequate and should hold up with average cymbals. If you think you are going to be putting a 22-24 inch Zildjian "A's" on these stands then you better go shopping for something with a little more muscle. Overall these are decent for the money, but way far from being in the class of the heavy duty road proven product.

Awesome Product

By Matt

This is the best Boom I've ever used. The gearless tilter means I don't have to wory about stripping gears during those extended playtimes. Plus the double braced legs and near infinite adjustability means I can put this anywhere and not have to worry about it falling over. Tama really is the strongest name in drums.

Holds it's own weight and then some...

By Jeff

from Columbus, Ohio

I bought one of these stands last night from GC, went straight to a gig and used it. I hung a 14" tom and a 12" tom from it not to mention I used the boom arm half extended with a 20" ride on it. It worked perfect all night!

Love it

By Ben

from Riverton, Utah

This was the first stand I put on my set other than the straight one that came standard. I have placed a ride, crash, and finally a china on it and have decided I need another. It is easy to set up, doesn't move, and it is very versatile in positioning. It is definitely worth getting.

Old faithful

By Sabo

This is the only stand that I trust. I have bought cheaper stands thinking that I will be o.k. just to be disappointed by breaking them. Tama roadpro is the best hardware for the buck cause you won't have to replace the stand later down the road.

Great Stand!

By beto

from mcallen, tx

this stand is real stable. i have my ride on this cymbal, and as we all know, rides tend to be heaviear than the rest of the other cymbals in our kit. Any way the stand doesnt move at all and lets you position the cymbal at various angles, letting you find that perfect place where you want your cymbal to be. great stand, great price, great brand. if youre looking for a new stand for that cymbal you just bought, look no more, get the roadpro boom, you wont regret it.

Built to last

By Martin Petermann

from Estonia

Okay, I bought five of these. I have two crashes on one stand, two toms and a crash on another, ride cymbal with fully extended arm and I crash it like a lunatic. Absolutely no moving or falling over. The Most practical cymbal stand so far. Only problem is weight of the stand. But that's my problem because I haven't bought a hardware bag yet ;)

Living in a Shadow

By Lee K-U

from Oly

This IS a decent stand, but compared to Tama's previous hardware series, this is a stand made for Little Tykes drums. The Titan series was the predecessor, and was 10 times the stand this toothpick is. The Titan series was bulky and heavy, but it got the job done better then any other stand. What is your problem Tama????? Bring back the Titans. But back to the Roadpro. Sure, they suffice, but when you extend the cymbal to it's uttermost reach, the stand starts to lean depending on how the legs are positioned. All in all, either get a counterweight, or have a rickety stand.

Outstanding!!!

By twister12

from anaheim, ca

This stand is one of the best manufactured stands today. it is top of the line at some of the lowest prices for stands i have ever seen. unlike the price, it is built top notch, with a toothless cymbal tilter, and rubber brushings for a soundless design. I give this stand the best recomendation if they want something that gives them bang for their buck!
