  • Awesome Snare

    I purchased this snare to match my set with the anticipation it may not live up to my expectations but wanted a matching snare for the set. I have various snares for different types of music and felt I probably had a snare for every situation to include several 6 1/2 x 14 mapels, a 5 1/2 x 14 rosewood, 5 1/2 x 14 maple and 5 1/2 x 14 steel so my expectations for this snare wern't high. This birch/bubinga is now my favorite snare. It has exceptional snare response and is by far the best full range snare I own. When tunned low it has a very warm and mellow tone with the snares medium tight. I can crank down the head and tighten the snares and I get a fast attack weapon for heavier music like rock or metal. Bubinga is my wood of choice for drums. The matching TAMA kit also sound amazing.
