  • Tama's Semi Professioal Kit

    This kit is really good, I love it! If your looking for a quality drum set for good money, then this is the kit is for you! The Silverstar is pretty much a step down from the the Starclassic performer B/B-those kits are Tama's best and most expensive. For metal players: just buy two packs of moongel and your set, because the heads the kit comes with are not bad.

  • Great Value & Awesome Sound

    I just bought the Transparent Red Burst Tama Silverstar at the Albany NY Guitar Center. I have never used a Birch shell before, and this set replaced my five year old Tama Swingstar (which I loved). I'm amazed at the sounds that these drums produce. I put Remo Pinstripes on all the drums and they sound wonderful. I also found that tuning them was fairly easy. The bass drum roars like thunder. The floor toms have great depth. And the two mounted toms project a nice upper range. I have a Tama metal works snare drum from my old set, so I have not yet used the Silverstar snare drum. But I plan on keeping it as an alternate snare. In terms of the appearance of the drums, they look sharp, like a professional drum set. The new low mass lugs are a different look for Tama. The improvements made to the omni tom holder are also very significant in that you have more adjustment options than with the traditional omni tom holder. The quality of the set is top notch. Tama quality kind of speaks for itself. As I said, I was very pleased with my Swingstar, but I feel that this set is head and shoulders above anything I have ever played. I also had a great service experience at the Albany NY Guitar Center!!

    The Tama Silverstar. I bought the Titanium fade one. I previously owned a Pearl Forum 5 Piece, this is such a big step up. I was surprised how much of a big step this was, but I have now gotten really comfortable with it. It is definitely worth the money. I strongly recommend it. Evans heads for them to are a great combo and Zildjian Rezo A Customs for a more brilliant sound. BUY THIS DRUM SET!
