This stand is the best boom stand ever. The counter weight makes this the most stable cymbal stand I've ever played on. The counter weight is mainly for Rides, which makes this stand not lossen up due unstable weight like other stands. Highly recommended for ride cymbals.

Once again, nothing is perfect, so can't give it 5 stars, but it is close. I have a Z custom ride on it , very heavy, so the counterweight gives it excellent stability. Also, I have a clamp and boom arm connected to the main shaft that is holding my 17" crash, excellent! Great, great space saving configuration, I'm not sure that it would be possible without the counterweight! Rock
