These are very sturdy and well made. The boom clutch assembly is far superior to the flimsy clutches on the cheap competitors. The Tama clutches are designed to work over many years. The chrome finish is well done. This is a heavy, solid stand. It comes with both Euro and US threads. The only downside is the price, but you do get what you pay for with the Tama.
These stands are awesome. I have two that I use for all sorts of gigs. I've had mine for about 5 years, and have had absolutely no problems at all with them. Great look, great finish, and they hold the mic right where you want it, all of the time. Expensive, but worth it!
I bought 2 of these for drum overheads 20 years ago. I still have them, and use them in my studio before any other stand. Nice heavy metal construction makes them the go to stand. So I bought 2 more last week because the 4 for $80.00 brand are a joke. The money spent on the Tamas is well worth it.
