I got these pedals for chrismas, this is my first legit double bass pedal. if you take 15 or 20 mins of your time and adjust them to your liking, you will be going pretty fast in no time. as soon as i took them out of the box i was playing way faster then i ever thought i on a brand new pedal, to some one who is new to it like me. now that i know i have a goodpedal i can stay safe and feel that im going to have this one for a while, because its pretty damn solid. deffinatly worth the buy
I bought this pedal used at my local guitar center. I was kind of skeptical on the look. The clerk let me test it out. It felt ok when i tested it, but the tension was different, i changed everything on it, but the left hammer still moved slower than the right, it didnt have the same rebound. Can somebody either give me some professional advice on how to fix this? Otherwise i am going to take it back. Please give me some help if you could
All Tama pedals are outstanding performers, and at very reasonable prices. Very smooth, fast, strong/stable, consistent. Gotta love those cams! Really, really, good out of the box, but simply add the "cobra coils" optional accessory (standard on some models of IC), and you have yourself a truly exceptional pedal with most of the specs of it's older brother. For the heavy players needing the double chain, roller footboard and cam adjustment bearings, and a few extra adjustments, get the IC (Iron Cobra non-Jnr.), but for the rest of us mortals, this has (or can be made to have) the same feel, for quite a bit less! You won't really know how good it is until you take it home and make it yours...
