The Tama HT35 Drummers Throne features double-braced legs, a 28.6mm diameter bottom tube, and a special nylon bushing underneath the upper tube which eliminates rattling or swaying in the upper seat section. Height adjusts from 17" to 24-1/2" (from floor to top of seat). Seat measures 15-1/8"W x 14"D.

I was pleasantly surprisedby the HT35; I'd expect it to cost far more than it does - there are others on the market that cost 2x or 3x as much and aren't nearly as comfortable or stable. This unit is REALLY comfortable, the primary criteria for any throne in my opinion. It has an acceptable range of adjustment. The height is maintained by a clamp on the top tube and says put once set. It does weigh somewhat more than the typical round throne, and since the seat is larger, it takes up more space in the equipment case. I find this to be an easy trade off for the extra comfort during a 3 - 5 hour gig. I've owned a number of different thrones over the years and this is my favorite so far.
