The 13-ply, 10mm G-maple shell is adorned with an encircling abalone inlay and provides solid, tight tone with a clear attack. This Tama Starclassic drum was a Snare Drum Olympic 2002 winner.
This snare is built like a tank.. if you play a lot of rim shots, but more sticks.. the rims on this thing take no prisoners. Excellent tuning abilities. Huge, warm sound.. Great throw off.. and a real eye catcher...

It doesn't get any better than this. Heavy thick quality maple shell absorbs the bad and accenuates the good. It produces a deep, flat punch without any tinny overtones or muddling effects.

first, BEAUTIFUL snare. abalone and die cast hoops make this snare shine. this snare is very dynamic, great intonation, and it sings at any tuning. jazz, rock, punk, whatever it'll make it work! start digging into the rims and u'll decide to buy some earplugs. this thing is a cannon at any tuning, no joke. playing live shows with no mic's on my kit, this snare still comes out clear as a bell. best investment i've made yet.
