This is one fine guitar.

Comments about Takamine TC132SC Acoustic-Electric Nylon String Guitar:

Bought this guitar about ten years ago and absolutely love it. Learned flamenco guitar while stationed in Spain many years ago which makes me appreciate a good classical guitar but use it for everything. The sound is unbelievable, I've never heard another guitar that compares to it. I use it at gigs 3 or 4 times a week. If you like a bold sound you'll love this guitar. If something happened to this one I would certainly purchase another.

Comments about Takamine TC132SC Acoustic-Electric Nylon String Guitar:

This Tak has an amazing sound and is as loud or louder than my D-28. The intonation was great right out of the case. The finish is excellent, and appointments are simple and clean. For the price, I can't think of a comparable instrument.

Comments about Takamine TC132SC Acoustic-Electric Nylon String Guitar:

I have a cheaper Takamine Classical guitar that I absolutely love. It stays on a stand by my work sation and I play it daily. So, when I was looking to upgrade, I went to this model. I've owned Fender, Gibson, Martin, and Yamaha (not to mention numerous Takamines); and this is the most beautiful and the most comfortable guitar I've owned over 25 years of playing.

Note, I do not play traditional, classical music. I love the gypsy/Django Reinhardt/Willie Nelson tone, and this guitar delivers perfectly.

          Good for the money

          By Robert Richards

Comments about Takamine TC132SC Acoustic-Electric Nylon String Guitar:

I've been playing classical guitar for about 2 years. I own a $2,000 guitar, which was my first purchase. I decided to buy the Takamine as a 2nd guitar. The Takamine compares very well to the more expensive model. It has good tone and the workmanship is flawless. I think if you want a good student model guitar and don't want to spend 3 or 4 thousand dollars then this is a very good choice. The electronics are nice to have but I really don't use them as I play at home and the guitar projects nicely. It does have an internal tuner which I find very useful. The guitar is a bit heavy but that's probably due to the electronics. I play this guitar every day and I would highly recommend it.

          Useful, VERY useful

Comments about Takamine TC132SC Acoustic-Electric Nylon String Guitar:

I've had mine for quite a while now. No problems with it. It hangs on the wall and gets used at least four days a week and used on gigs every now and then. Christmas means lots and lots of air time with it.
They do go into feedback a bit sooner than I like and sometimes that is a problem - got a Godin to solve that but find I like this better even with the fussy placement to prevent feedback. (Can't find a soundhole cover to fit it)
This guitar has taught me a lot about what the hands can do. I've learned a lot and it does carry over and makes my hybrid picking on the tele much better, chord melody on the jazz box much better, and doesn't do much for blues or big band. It was a lot of money when I bought it but I've never regreted the purchase. If something happened to it I'd get another!!!
Love the wide classic neck and the preamp is just full of nice features. Great sound without the amp and plugged in iit you can't find something you like with this preamp the batteries are dead!
Can't find anything to complain about in the quality of it.
Sometimes you do get what you pay for - this is one of those times.

Beautiful guitar with a great warm sound.

Comments about Takamine TC132SC Acoustic-Electric Nylon String Guitar:

I purchased this guitar in May 2011, it has the CTP2 electronics which sounds really great. I got this guitar to begin learning Classical Guitar. This model has a 2" nut and gives the spacing needed for finger style playing. Note, if your hands are small like mine it will take time to develop the finger stretch necessary to some of the chords at the top of the next. The sides are laminated Rosewood but the back is solid Rosewood and the top is solid Ceadar. Both of these tone woods really give this guitar a warm rich sound with a lot of sustain. I felt that this guitar has the most features to offer for its price point. Takamine's craftmanship is excellent, no additional setup was required with unsurpassed electronics.

          Takamine TC132SC

          By kaanoiy

Comments about Takamine TC132SC Acoustic-Electric Nylon String Guitar:

Review for Takamine TC132SC. The guitar I puchased had fret buzz when holding the D chord in the first position in standard tuning. There were wood chips loose inside the guitar body. The battery pack tab was broken. The first string was partially cut. Long return process. Replacement of guitar will take over a month to receive as it is now out of stock. Was hoping to start gigging with this guitar but plans put on hold for a few months.

          My new love

          By Tom-c_PTP

          from Springfield, VA

Comments about Takamine TC132SC Acoustic-Electric Nylon String Guitar:

This is just a beautiful guitar. I've played many different classical cutaway models and this was a runaway winner. The action is wonderful, much better than the Taylor. I was in a bit of a state of shock when I first picked up the 132 to play. I was nailing some difficult chords (thanks to J.S. Bach) with ease and getting sounds that were difficult to play cleanly on other guitars. The price makes this a steal. I own some great guitars (ES335, X150D, Guild G3C) but this Takamine is my new love.
