From Takamine comes the luxurious OM TAN77 Koa CTP1 acoustic-electric guitar. The Orchestra Model (OM) body shape, with its strong lower midranges and versatile dynamics, is enjoying a resurgence. With a smaller length, depth and waist as compared to a dreadnought, this Takamine acoustic-electric guitar is popular for acoustic and finger style players.
The Takamine OM CTP1 guitar's solid koa body and solid cedar adds punch and plenty of full-sounding projection to cut into any mix. The asymmetrical mahogany neck, rosewood bridge, and rosewood fingerboard produces plenty of sustain, and the chrome-plated tuners offer precise tuning in a striking appearance.
The "Cool Tube" preamp is an on-board acoustic- electric preamp that uses a 12AU7 dual triode vacuum tube. The preamp gets its name from Takamine's unique technology that runs at very low voltages, therefore the tube does not glow or produce high levels of heat. The tube actually runs at only two or three degrees above ambient, so there is no concern over the delicate tone woods being affected by radiant heat. With the Takamine "Cool Tube" preamp, the playing will be hot, the tone will be warm, and the tube always remains cool.
Dressed in a gloss finish, the Takamine OM TAN77 acoustic-electric guitar shines in appearance and swells with beautiful Takamine tone.
