The Takamine John Jorgenson Signature Acoustic-Electric is the result of a desire by John for increased sensitivity from his instrument. Takamine's answer was scalloped top bracing, a solid spruce top, and bubinga back and sides. A gloss red stain brings out the beauty of the wood. Top and neck binding and a white pickguard add aesthetic appeal. A delicately worked abalone rosette is the crowning touch. Features the JJ inlay at the 12th fret. DSP preamp.

I had been in the market for a solid wood acoustic/electric guitar for a while, and did my research. I was drawn to this guitar rather superficially because I loved it's aesthetics, but read reviews and listened to videos of people playing one, which made me decide to take a chance in ordering it, given I had never played one myself. GC's return policy made me very comfortable in doing this. It arrived within several days, and I was blown away when I finally got to sit down with it. I was also considering a Taylor guitar within the same price range, and I have to say I'm happy I went with this model Takamine. It is simply the most comfortable and sweetest sounding guitar I have played. It sounds fantastic plugged in, too. I read some reviews that were critical of the electronics being switched to 2 AA batteries, but the one I received takes a single 9V. The built-in tuner is a plus, and I've found that it holds its tune very well. The hard case it comes with is top notch, too. I really couldn't be happier with my purchase, and I daydream about playing it while I'm at my day job. My only beef with it is that I think the tuning knobs seem cheap compared to the rest of the guitar, but it's not a big deal, and I can switch them out eventually if I want. The tone, crispness, electronics, size, feel, and overall craftsmanship of this guitar made me rate it 5 stars. The cherry on top is how beautiful it is. As my title suggests, I'm lovin' it.
