Comments about Takamine G Series G124 Classical Guitar:

Overall great guitar, I have used this guitar for auditions, live playing, recording, and practicing. The wood quality on the entire guitar is great, which evokes a crystal clear sound. It was very easy to transistion from my electric and acoustic to this guitar for its low action. The only con which is standar for all classical guitars, is the tie on strings. What a pain. But otherwise great instrument

Comments about Takamine G Series G124 Classical Guitar:

This is the second used instrument that I have purchased and they were both in better shape than detailed. Most classical guitars have hign action. I was able to sand the bridge and saddle to make this one much more playable (without buzzing) for my beginner friend who I purchased it for. All in all a great deal. I will continue to look for good used equipment and bargain prices.

30 Years, and still is amazing

    By John Benson

Comments about Takamine G Series G124 Classical Guitar:

I have had this guitar now for 30 years, and it truly a piece of work! I have never had any bad things about this guitar. The tuners are STILL sturdy, and the neck hasn't warped at all. My kids are crazy around the house, and sometimes the accidentally throw things at it, and it STILL sounds good. Do yourselves a favor. Buy this awesome, priceless guitar....200 bucks isn't worth it. Its a steal price.

    Good Guitar

    By Jethro

    from Beaufort, SC

Comments about Takamine G Series G124 Classical Guitar:

For the price this is an excellent guitar. Tone is good. Sustain is good. Action is good. The neck is a little flatter than my other Takamine guitar, a 1977 C132S. Because of this, I find this guitar more comfortable to play than my expensive older Takamine. It does not sound as good as my '77 C132S, but for the money, it's an excellent deal. The only change I would make would be for Takamine to use a little less lacquer on the guitar. I think that would let the spruce sound board and the mahogany body sing a little louder. I bought this guitar because I didn't want to take the C132S with me when I travel. All in all, if you want a good, serviceable guitar for not a lot of money, go for this one.

    Excellent for the price

    By Ethan

    from Alabama

Comments about Takamine G Series G124 Classical Guitar:

This is an absolutely fantastic guitar for the price. Looks brilliant and sounds wonderful. The action is fantastic, and it stays in tune very well. I cannot think of a single downside to this guitar. Obviously, a higher priced guitar is going to have improved sound quality, but I would recommend this guitar to anyone just starting on classical guitar.

Excellent classical guitar for the price

    By Captain Sadness

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Takamine G Series G124 Classical Guitar:

I bought this guitar to keep at my second home. For the price, this is a really nice guitar. Solid, good intonation, bright sound. The strings it came with were sub-par, but after replacing with Augustine Blues this guitar sounds very good. There are some slight manufacturing imperfections, but nothing that impacts the sound and nothing one would expect from a guitar at this price. Very good travel guitar or starter guitar.I've been playing for over 30 years now, and my usual guitar is a Takamine C132S.

    Very Nice

    By Seth

    from Jacksonville FL

Comments about Takamine G Series G124 Classical Guitar:

Wow. For the price this is quite the find. I bought this guitar as a "carry around" guitar for a trip to New England and i was not expecting it to be all that great. However, this has a great sound with ew strings and is compareable to a much more expensive ($500) guitar my friend uses. The action is a tad to high for my likeing but hey, nothings perfect. A great guitar for beginners or as a travel guitar.
