The 12-string Takamine G Dreadnought EG345C Acoustic-Electric Guitar has the characteristc broad top and deep body that create a large resonant air chamber that emphasizes bass response and produces luscious full sound.

The EG345C Takamine 12-string excels in ensemble playing and is heavily favored by flatpicking players. The cutaway provides plenty of range and comfort when accessing the upper-register frets. The guitar's lamminate spruce top offers balanced tone, while the mahogany body brings out plenty of clear, full-sounding volume and depth. The Takamine G dreadnought's dovetail neck joint, rosewood bridge and fretboard, and mahogany neck offer plenty of sustain, while the asymmetrical neck and 1-5/8" nut width provide comfort for intricate fretboard movements.

At the heart of the Takamine EG345C 12-string is an impressive electronics system amplifying your sound with intuitive frequency controls. The guitar's CP-100 pickup is innovatively designed with a U-shaped aluminum rail securing the pickup and saddle for a snug fit and balanced response from the entire guitar—not just pressure from the strings.

The G dreadnought EG345C's gold hardware, gold tuners, and gloss finish add a striking touch to this already beautiful Takamine 12-string guitar.

TP4T Preamp Features

The TP4T Preamplifier is powered by a single 9 volt battery.

By Michael Wallace

from dallas texas

just purchased this guitar and cannot wait to receive it in the mail. I've heard a lot of good things about this 12 string and i cant wait to put it to use with the band i am in. love the gold hardware and the finish on the guitar. ive seen some videos of this guitar being played and it sounds like a top notch 12 string. would definitely recommend this guitar to anyone looking for an affordable 12 string.

Sound yes, fit and finish no.

By kevin rygg

This guitar sounds really good, and you cannot beat the price. This is one of those guitars that really forces you to keep practicing because you just don't want to put it down. Now the down-side. Most importantly, the bridge is very weird. If you were just doing "hum and strum" around a campfire this would not matter, but I fingerpick. The distance between the primary and secondary strings on this guitar is noticeably larger than what I have on my other 12-string; this is very distracting when I play. Next, The on-board electronics are not so good; it is basically a cheap tuner. The pickguard is coming loose, so I need some glue. The strings appeared rusty out of the box; did I get a used one or a factory-second somehow? The join between the neck and the body has some kind of cosmetic flaw - like somebody did it wrong and then tried to patch it. In the dark it wouldn't matter, and after a few years of dust and fingerprints I will probably forget about it. This is still a really good "12" for the price, but it is far from ideal. From here on out, I am going to stick to the expensive stuff.

Nice Guitar at a Nice Price

By Bob Martin

from St. Clair Shores Mich

I was in the market for a 12 string and saw this beauty on guitarcenter.com. I already own a Takamine 6 string acoustic/electric that I like so I figured I'd take a chance and order it without ever even playing it. To my surprise it arrived in just 2 days, took it out of the box a did some tuning using the convenient built in tuner. It actually plays and sounds amazing and is very beautiful. For the price it's a great deal and the quality and workmanship is excellent, I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to buy a 12 string.
