As soon as this guitar came out the case I was in love with it. It looks fab, sounds wonderful, and is surprisingly small. The onboard tuner is a lovely little feature, and it plays wonderfully. Also, Music123.com were excellent. I am a Uk resident, and the item and carry case (also Takamine - again beautifully crafted) arrived within 5 days. Shipping was reasonably, and the service from Music123.com was first class. I was very impressed.

A Great Buy For All Aplications

By Kyle Official

About Me Professional Musician

Comments about Takamine EF341SC Legacy Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar over 7 years ago for a steal! Over the past 7 years this guitar has been my main touring acoustic. I've played bars, churches, school gyms, auditoriums and arenas.. and across the boad, this guitar holds its own ( I played a '76 Gibson Hummingbird, and various Martin guitars while in the studio). I play D'Addario Phosper Bronze 10s and go through a set of strings in about a week, but this guitar has a great high-end that keeps me sounding fresh. I have dropped the guitar on its face, on the headstock, and it still stayed solid. The only downside to this guitar is the stock electronics, but if you have a decent sound guy or a 5- band eq pedal (to scoop the low mids) it usually works out in your favor!

Worth every penny!

Comments about Takamine EF341SC Legacy Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've been playing a '79 mahogany Guild D25 since it was new, but needed something I could plug in. Wanted another dreadnought, but with cutaway, preferably black finish, and this guitar fit the bill. I'd heard good things about Takamines from people I respect. Was ready to travel 250 miles to try one out, but learned via online chat that the one I tried would not be the one I took home, and the store would charge extra to set it up, so no point in making the trip; I just ordered online. The guitar arrived on time as advertised in original shipping box. Intonation is fine at the 12th fret and upward, and it has an excellent, balanced voice, very comparable to the played-in Guild (considering the brand new strings) whether finger-style, picking, or strumming . Can't comment on the electronics because I haven't plugged it in yet- it's that nice just playing acoustic, not like other acoustic-electrics I've played that had no voice without the amp. Glad I chose this guitar.

Comments about Takamine EF341SC Legacy Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've been a musician for 34 years. I've owned more acoustic guitars than I can count, but my early 2000's era EF-341SC is my all time favorite. I picked it up in damaged unplayable condition. Had the frets leveled, and it sounded great. I live in the desert, and cracks are always a problem due to the extreme dryness, and heat, so I kind of consider my acoustics as somewhat disposable...

My guitar developed a bridge crack, between the bridge pins. But I was using the guitar, hosting an open stage every Saturday night, so I kept playing it with the cracked bridge, since it still sounded fine.

Then I noticed a big long crack in the cedar top that runs under the bridge and out the other side. I had bumped it into a fan, and have a habit of slapping the top when I'm getting into certain songs... Anyway, the guitar still rings out like a champ, same as before the cracks. I'm still playing it all cracked out, and loving it every time I turn it up!

Comments about Takamine EF341SC Legacy Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have been playing my Tak EF341SC for about 7 years. It has been my main live acoustic and it thrives in that situation. Excellent pickup and a very handy onboard tuner. It looks good on stage and stays in tune. Tonally it is a nice guitar, but for recording - fingerstyle playing - yeah - not ideal. But it was designed as a stage guitar and that is where it really shines.

Comments about Takamine EF341SC Legacy Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have to admit this guitar caught my attention thru JBJV. Read about it and decided to check it out on the web. Did not intentionally look for it but happened to find it at the guitar store! Was so thrilled and decided to try it out in the store and ... there i went, bought it just few minutes later. I also replaced the pickup to Cooltube. Am happily & proudly using it at my weekly gigs and events and it never disappoints me once.

        Great Guitar!

        By Randy

Comments about Takamine EF341SC Legacy Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Really nice guitar! Ordered as a gift, and with the 2 day shipping it came early, even with being just before Christmas. It also came with a nice case! Plays really nice, high quality like you would expect for a high quality Takamine, very easy to play, was bought partially because Takamine's have such good playability. Good sound, both I and the receiver really like it and would definitely recommend takamine's. I have the Takamine legacy koa, and I love it, This one has a deeper tone than the koa, because of the different body styles, but both are great!

        A Must Have!

        By thomas deaton

Comments about Takamine EF341SC Legacy Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have played low end guitars my whole life with no avail. I finally saved up enough money for a stellar guitar and chose this Takamine. Before deciding on this guitar, I played Martins and Taylors and was impressed but not sold. I ended up ordering this guitar without playing it (which is something most all guitar players would not recommend). I purchased it based on the reviews of how great it sounds and what famous people play it. I must say that what you read about this guitar is ALL true! It has surpassed my expectations...Guitar Center does not carry this guitar in most stores, but have no apprehension on buying this without playing it...5 Stars! The tuner on the electronics on this guitar are precise to the "t". Sounds unreal through my stage amp and the P.A. Do yourself a favor and buy this gem!

            EF-341SC

            By Tucker

            from Michigan

Comments about Takamine EF341SC Legacy Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've had my Takamine EF-341 for 25 years now. The guitar gets better with age. Over the years, I've had to put in a new pickup and electronics but not because of the manufacture malfunction. I strum kinda hard and hit my palm on the bridge as I strum, so I broke the pickup under the saddle. I have many other high end guitars but none are like this one. mine is really worn looking, has pick stratches all over it and buckle marks. The frets are needing replaced and its still my favorite. I had this guitar long before alot of the big name singers was using them so I'm not basing my opinions on them. This is just a all around great guitar.
