The EC132SC is handcrafted in Takamine's pro series facility that has been building precision quality instruments over five decades. This nylon string classical guitar pays homage to traditional classical instruments and follows closely to the original drawings of Antonio Torres. It is the first choice of performing classical latin and jazz musicians looking for pure nylon string tone at amplified volume levels. The solid cedar top produces a warm full tone with plenty of dynamic range. The solid rosewood back aids in the projection and enhances the sonic brilliance of the instruments. Gloss natural finish provides durability and adds to the beauty of the guitar. The mahogany neck features a dual action truss rod, which keeps the guitar playing perfectly in any environment. Includes Takamine’s Palathetic™ pickup, known in the industry as one of the most accurate and natural sounding acoustic/electric pickups. The CT4B preamp has long been the popular choice among Takamine pro artists, providing warm natural acoustic tone at high sound pressure levels.

I'm a Guitar player for 15 years and LOVE to collect guitars, after trying out a few brands like Taylor, Jose Ramirez, Yamaha. The price for those brands were out of touch! while I can get this one with affordable price and SOUND, QUALITY, and the BEAUTY of it!
I am very lucky to come across this guitar. I visited a local Luthier re: an old Suzuki classical I have had for 40 years. I was inquiring about some work and a possible pickup. I also own a 1989 Jose Ramirez (My first Love). Although, I have played for years, I am still a beginner as I have never really pushed myself to be better. This Luthier told me about the Takamine EC132SC. I found it on-line through the Guitar Center and purchase it. I paid nothing for shipping and pick it up at my local store. HOLY S__T! Overnight I have gone from beginner to intermidiate. This is the best purchase I ever made. I am truly amazed. The tone is deep and rich and sustained. The action is perfect. I play some longer, more difficult pieces without any imperfect notes, which allows me to focus on musicality. I am really happy with this guitar. My Ramirez is on a temporary vacation. What a bargain
I decided on this guitar, when another was unavailable, based on the reviews. I wanted a fine classical for my collection. I was not dissapointed. I have been playing Jazz, Rock, Classical for over 30 years, and have never played a guitar that hit such s solid "5" star rating in every area: sound, playability, action. This guitar "sings!" I have over 14 fine stringed instruments on my wall, but this one stays in the case, only to be taken out and played by me! You will love it as much as I do. Thanks.
One day early in the morning my friend and I went out to find a really good guitar for me. I had an aging Yamaha classical guitar which as opposed to conventional wisdom, its sound didn't improve with age but got more and more flat. After visiting many places, we stopped at a Guitar Center in NJ and found the Takamine EC132SC and it was love at first sight because the finish, the grain of the wood I mean everything looked beautiful and professionally built. The icing of the cake was its sound. I played some romantic classical pieces and its mellow, subtle tonal palette came out beautifully and with projection. Played some Flamenco and it delivered the "rasgueados" equally well. So this guitar can be as sweet as a little girl and bold and powerful like a raging bull which surprised me because of its cutaway body style. The action was a bit high for my taste and I didn't liked the fact that it came with plastic nut and saddle. So I made myself a new nut and saddle out of bone and setup the action the way I like it. Oh wow!, the sound improved so much that it required just a little tweaking of its CT-4B preamp. Overall this is a great guitar that is worth its price. I use it everyday and don't regret buying it.
This guitar is a jewel to play. It has a great feel and warm sound. I play finger pick style in a gospel group - and I've loved the guitar since I first picked it up about 2 years ago. You'll never go wrong with this one.
I traded in two other classical guitars and a steel string acoustic for two Takamine EC132SC's. One is for home and performance use. One is for lunch-time practice in my office. The EC132SC is the perfect guitar for classical and fingerpicking (and everything else too). The built-in tuner saves me time on alternate tunings. The cutout lets me more easily reach frets higher than fret 12. The finish and physical workmanship are outstanding. Kudos to Takamine for the strap button plug in for amp use. I played the EC132SC against other classicals and steel string acoustics. I played it loud. I played it fast. I played it softly and slowly. I let the last note fade away, I knew I had found my "forever" guitar. (Twice.) This guitar took me from beginner to advanced in two years. Practice was fun. This guitar has soul. If you want your notes to touch your listener's heart, this is the guitar.
