Takamine

collapse expand iconDescription

The Japanese word michi, meaning œa path or course to follow over a distance, provides the theme of the very special limited edition Takamine T50TH dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar. The growing vine motif adorning the fretboard, headstock and pickguard symbolizes the long and vibrant pathway traveled by Takamine over the decades ” an elegantly striking design that beautifully commemorates their 50th anniversary and appears only on the T50TH, never to be repeated.

Constructed of superb tonewoods that are visually and sonically breathtaking. The AAAA grade spruce top gives the T50TH high velocity and tonal clarity. The cocobolo back and sides give it a complex bottom end and an enigmatic darkness.

The Takamine Line Driver, TLD for short, is the system Takamine uses in their most special guitars. Designed to be installed unobtrusively inside the guitar, it requires no cutting into the high-value, exotic tone woods.

The TLD is a discreet line driver and buffer that sends a clean and noise-free active signal to the output jack. The TLD is pre-EQd with mild bass boost, mild treble boost and mid frequency cut for a very natural amplified acoustic tone.
