The Takamine EF740SGN OM Left-Handed Acoustic-Electric Guitar is equipped with a solid cedar top joined to a sapele body for full, balanced tone. Appointments include a rosewood fingerboard and nickel tuners. The CT4B preamp has a musical 3-band graphic EQ with an extremely accurate chromatic tuner. The satin antique finish lends the guitar a classic look.

I bought this guitar just hoping that it would be one of the best in its price range. Boy, was I suprised! This guitar is maybe the highest quality axe I've ever owned, and I've owned a few. The solid cedar top has a very mellow, woody sound, and the OM body is louder than the dreadnought I own! The CT4B preamp sounds awesome through my amp, very "natural" sound. I truly believe that this guitar is worth twice what I paid. Thanks Tak and GC!!!
I bought this guitar about 3/4 months ago and although i wanted to wait to write a review so i could really make an accurate one, i knew the second i picked it up at guitar center and strummed it that it was a beauty and worth every penny(actually i would still buy it had it been a grand), hard to put a price on this one, i got a great deal on mine because the store accidentally had it shipped to them and it was the only lefty in the store. The physical quality of this guitar is outstanding, one of the most beautiful deep rich brown colors Ive ever laid eyes on, Especially in the sun, and this thing is as solid as a hard-on! ha. The sound quality is just as incredible, its loud, its bright, sounds great playing LOW tons just as well as high, and sounds crisp and VERY CLEAR in any chord throughout each and every fret NO JOKE. I like to switch my styles up from rock to country to jazz to blues and it sounds so good playing any of them... I seriously thought id have to spend a few grand to have the best of the best and im stoked to say i got it right here with this guitar. This built in tuner does a very fine job and i don't think even the best of the best musicians would be unsatisfied. Definitely go with this takamine. The hard shell case is VERY DURABLE in solidness for great protection and beauty as well. My only warning is be careful, one you pick it up you'll be so in love expect your fingers to bleed and possibly even fall off from not putting it down! You'd be a fool not to love everything about this one and everyone i know who picks mine up is in awh... haha and jealous they don't get the full effect cause most of um a right handed players!!! I used to hate the fact that i played lefty, this guitar makes me proud.
I had been shop around for Takamine for about 2 month, when I pick up and play at the GC, I fall in love with-it sound so clear and I just fall in love with this guitar so I decided to buy it. I also like about it came with Guitar case. with Takmine brand on it. so cool and I am happy got this guitar. even if i were to buy $499 and i have to get a case for extra $75 to $150 why not get a good one and come with the case .
