Features of the guitar are excellent. The quality is as advertised. The sound is wonderful whether in Standard tuning or DADGAD, D modal tuning. I initially purchased a Takamine EG544SC Acoustic-Electric Guitar which is a fine quitar also but I chose the higher level finish and action of the NEX ETN40C acoustic guitar and was completely satisfied with the purchase of the instrument.
I had replaced the Takamine EG544SC initially with a Takamine ETN10C Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar With Case but after having it for a few days decided that I liked the shape and performance of the Takamine NEX ETN40C best of all which I saw online which was very similar to the Takamine EG544SC . For a professional musician or an amateur quitarist, I believe the Takamine NEX ETN40C is a excellent choice for either category. I also purchased the pro coverage which allowed me to exchange the Takamine EG544SC as it had a scratch that needed to be repaired.
