Takamine G340SC- A Great Guitar for the Right Pric

After an exhaustive search for the best dreadnought guitar I could find in the $200-$300 range, I finally settled on the Takamine G340SC and I am thrilled with my decision. If you like a bit of a flashy look, this guitar has it: gold chrome tuners, abalone inlays and a cutaway body. Howeveer, the key is the playability and tone. The action is low allowing for easy play all the way up the neck, and the cutaway lets you reach those high notes. The sound is balanced with nice highs and lows, and a really strong midrange. I've tried it for blues, ballads and hard rockin' tunes and it does well on all whether picked or strummed. I'm not going to tell you that it is as good as a $3,000 Martin or Taylor, but I will say that it sounds, looks and feels as good as anything 2 to 3 times the price that I've tried. I highly recommend this guitar for anyone from beginners to active musicians. The guitar is sweet and the price is right!

Best bet for the $$$

Fantasic! Never expected to be so happy with a guitar this cheap. Great tone, nice action. Friends have been envious of it.

Absolutely Beautiful

I love this guitar. This is my 6th guitar, my 4th acoustic. It has beautiful tone, the action is great from the factory, and it just looks beautiful. No dead spots on the neck, this guitar is intense. The quality and sound of this thing rivals guitars that are twice the price of this Takamine. Don't even consider any other guitars. I know everybody thinks their guitar is the greatest and talks it up but this is the real deal. Trust me, you won't be dissapointed.

GREAT!

I am a beginner and was looking for something I could start with, that wouldn't break the bank, but would still give me a great sound that would allow me to have fun playing. This guitar is a perfect fit for that. It is extremely affordable, has a great sound, looks good, and is easy to play. I am really enjoying it, and I get compliments on it all the time.

Great guitar

Bought this one 3 months ago and it is awesome! It has a bright, rich tone and great resonance. It is absolutely worth every dime. Great for bluegrass, rock, folk, country, and blues.
