The Takamine G340SC acoustic guitar has a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides. The dreadnought body style gives you a big sound with more volume and power and its cutaway gives you complete fretboard acccess. I love this guitar. This is my 6th guitar, my 4th acoustic. It has beautiful tone, the action is great from the factory, and it just looks beautiful. No dead spots on the neck, this guitar is intense. The quality and sound of this thing rivals guitars that are twice the price of this Takamine. Don't even consider any other guitars. I know everybody thinks their guitar is the greatest and talks it up but this is the real deal. Trust me, you won't be dissapointed.
I looked for over 2 weeks by driving all over town, and tried all makes and models but as a novice, I really had a hard tme spending a ton of cash for my guitar upgrade. No matter what I tried, nothing really felt right. This G340SC sounds, looks and feels like the much more expensive guitars I played. The action was perfect out of the box and it SOUNDS AMAZING. From all my test drives If you are shopping, I did notice that the action is higher on the EG340SC vs this G340SC...This non electric guitar is very easy to play. My guitar did come with a broken tuner, but one email to Takamine and they're sending me a new one...no questions asked. So customer service is terrific. I still give it 5 stars...very happy
I love this guitar and i play it usually 2 or more hours a day. it has a very nice rich and complex sound. the tuners that it come with are very nice, it stays in tune for weeks. i have a few problems with it though, the glossy neck is kind of sticky, compared to a satin finish neck. and the guitar i got had some fret buzzing on the first 4 frets, however i had the neck adjusted at Guitar Center and i no longer have this problem. over all this is a fantastic guitar and i will enjoy playing it for years to come.
