    I bought this case sight unseen online from Guitar Center for my Takamine EG523SC-12 acoustic 12 string, so I had to rely on the description to decide if I wanted this case. I was surprised to find that it was everything that they said it was. Sturdy construction and quality appearance make it look like a case that you might pay twice as much for. It has gold tone hardware and a feature that I really liked--three gold tone metal support nubs on the back of the case to keep it off of the floor when you lay it down. The inside is generously lined with a plush velour and the guitar cradles safely and snugly enough that it won't bounce around inside during transport. The support block that the neck rests on contains a storage space with plenty of room for picks, capos and humidifiers, etc. The inside of the lid has a raised cushion that further protects the strings and neck down to the bridge of the guitar... well thought through. The outside of the lid displays a gold Takamine label that is lined in black... a classy touch. This case is definitely the best "sight unseen" purchase that I've ever made.

  • takamine jumbo guitar case

    I bought this case for my takamine eg523sc12 because most of the time when you buy a guitar under $1000,it does not come with a hardshell case. Of course the guitar center store where I bought it did not have one,so I ordered one on line.one thing I have learner over my 56 years, is that you get what you pay for.this case is ok but the guitar does not fit as snugly as I would like.these are generic cases with a takamine decal on them..with that said, most of us are not professionals, and this case should last a long,long time,standing in the bedroom or closet.want a better case? Spend more money!

  • The case works just fine...

    It's not the most spectacular case.. it is what it is. Nice protection and has that Takamine logo you want on it for a little personalization. For $89, it definitely serves its purpose and my guitar fits nice and comfortable in it. The latches had not problems at all. Happy with the case.
