Designed with beginners in mind, the G Series G340 Acoustic Guitar features the warm, open sound of a genuine spruce top with the sharp looks of gold tuners and a rosewood fretboard-all with no big investment required.
This was my first acoustic guitar, i was very surprised with the nice rich deeper tone that it had. There also wasn't any buzz when you played it. The action on the guitar is just right, it wasn't to high at all. Takamine really lived up to its expectations.

I think Takamine makes pretty good beginner's guitars and this is an example of that with a good price. Usually you can find cheaper packages, but the guitar itself has lasted me a long time with good sound.

This was actually my first acoustic guitar. Takamine has a good reputation for making quality instruments at affordable prices: this model is no exception. The sound is rich and deep, without any of the buzzing or other annoying effects that you'll get with cheaply-made guitars. The body has nice, clean lines and is designed to be comfortable for most players. Even if you're an advanced/expert player, you'll appreciate what you get for the $300 investment.

This was my first guitar I've ever owned, so I really don't know a whole hell of alot about guitar quality, but I personally am in love with this guitar. I have played my friends acoustic guitars that are "better" but I am always more impressed with mine. Love the action, love the sound, love the guitar!

This was my first acoustic guitar. It's very affordably priced and provides a nice sound. At first, it's a bit harder to play as compared to an electric, but you get used to it. There was absolutely nothing wrong with this guitar when I bought it. I'm very surprised you get this kind of quality with a guitar of this price. But, Takamine does have a good name.

Takamine has one of the best lines of acoustic guitars. This G Series acoustic is such a great guitar, and at a steal of a price. When paired with a nice set of strings (Elixir strings, or Martin's) the Takamine G340 sounds as nice as some $1,000 guitars. The action on the strings is great, and the bridge and tuners are very durable. I suggest this guitar not only to people trying to save a buck, but to anyone who would like a great acoustic!

I was disapointed at the quality of this guitar. The first one I received had deep scratches so I sent it back only to receive another one that had 3 deep cracks right through the front of the guitar. I sent it back also. Both guitars were made in China not Japan as Takamine claims on their website. Don't buy
