  • 30 Years, and still is amazing

As reviewed by John Benson on 1/2/2011

I have had this guitar now for 30 years, and it truly a piece of work! I have never had any bad things about this guitar. The tuners are STILL sturdy, and the neck hasn't warped at all. My kids are crazy around the house, and sometimes the accidentally throw things at it, and it STILL sounds good. Do yourselves a favor. Buy this awesome, priceless guitar....200 bucks isn't worth it. Its a steal price.

  • Very Nice

As reviewed by Seth on 6/11/2007

Wow. For the price this is quite the find. I bought this guitar as a "carry around" guitar for a trip to New England and i was not expecting it to be all that great. However, this has a great sound with ew strings and is compareable to a much more expensive ($500) guitar my friend uses. The action is a tad to high for my likeing but hey, nothings perfect. A great guitar for beginners or as a travel guitar.

  • Good Guitar

As reviewed by Jethro on 5/2/2010

For the price this is an excellent guitar. Tone is good. Sustain is good. Action is good. The neck is a little flatter than my other Takamine guitar, a 1977 C132S. Because of this, I find this guitar more comfortable to play than my expensive older Takamine. It does not sound as good as my '77 C132S, but for the money, it's an excellent deal. The only change I would make would be for Takamine to use a little less lacquer on the guitar. I think that would let the spruce sound board and the mahogany body sing a little louder. I bought this guitar because I didn't want to take the C132S with me when I travel. All in all, if you want a good, serviceable guitar for not a lot of money, go for this one.
