Blown away

I've been searching for MONTHS and when it came down to the day when i was going to buy i went in thinking i would come out with a Ibeaz (which are amazing!!) but when i saw this guitar i was sooo impressed. And when i herd it i knew this was the one. I can say right now i couldn't be happier!! + it has a great tuner on it with a GREAT pickup so that diffidently adds onto it's already impressive material. So if your not sure between this one and any other acoustic-electric guitar (or just looking for one) this is most diffidently a good one to go with.

Amazing guitar for a reasonable price

I looked at alot of other guitars, but this one was the only one that sounded beautiful both unplugged as well as plugged into an amp. I would definately recommend this guitar to anyone who is looking for an awsome guitar at a reasonable price. Another thing I liked was that it's a smaller guitar, and it's easy to play. I'm happy that I purchased this guitar and I know it will last me a long time :)

Well built - but sounds somewhat muted

I did a side-by-side comparison of the EG440C (quilt maple red) vs. the EG440SC (solid spruce top). The SC had a much fuller, more resonant sound - a very clear difference for only a small amount more. The quilt maple of the EG440C is beautiful, and the guitar appears to be well built (as expected with Takamine), but I suggest paying the extra $$ on the EG440SC to get the solid spruce top. The SC is a fantastic guitar - especially considering the reasonable price.
