This guitar is great. Even with the cutaway body it has a very full tone. I picked mine out at GC and couldn't put it down. I compared it against several cordobas and Yamahas which were a little pricier and the tone and playability of this guitar out did all of them. The Pickup system sounds great and the tuner works very well. The EQ is a simple Bass,. Mid and Treb but it works well to help you dial in a great tone. The action on the guitar was a little high but still very playable and after a little tweaking it plays like a dream. Go to GC and try one out. Compare it to others in this range and you will be hard pressed to find a guitar that stands up against the EG128SC.
I bought this guitar online, which was a first for me and a mistake. The pickup at the low E string was very weak, barely audible. Additionally, one machine head was bent and would not work properly and there was an internal vibration that would create a loud buzz at certain notes. I returned the guitar and tested several of the same model at various local guitar centers, which now had them in stock. I played three at three different stores before finding one with no significant problems. I'm quite happy with this guitar now, but I would definately recommend playing one before buying one and avoid getting it online.
I bought this guitar without propely testing and playing it in the store only to find a loud buzzing noise when playing the open D string. Rest asured, I will be taking it back tomorrow. Hopefully they can fix it because I absolutly love this guitar. Great action, looks and sound (ecxept for open-D!).
