  • great guitar

As reviewed by Cornelius Evans on 12/31/2009

this is my third guitar, second from takamine and it is great. The action is relatively low and the sound is perfect for play on and off the amp. sadly there isnt a tuner on the tp4 preamp but if you already have a tuner it doesnt matter. The guitar as a whole is great for an intermediate player and great for the price. I would recomend this guitar to any of my friends

  • Love it!

As reviewed by Grace on 2/12/2010

I've been taking lessons for about a year, and I got this guitar 4 months ago. Not only is it beautiful (in wine red), but it's such a perfect first guitar. I've never plugged it in to an amp, but the acoustic sound is beautiful. It's great for intermediate fingerpicking and strumming. My guitar teacher and guitar-playing friends also like it. Only problem is that it has a twang when played with a capo, but I'm not sure if that's the string's/guitar's/capo's fault. Although I'm not an experienced player, and don't play very challenging pieces, I can tell this guitar is great quality and very durable. The price is extremely reasonable, especially at the New York City Guitar Center.
