Wonderfull guitar

Want a Taylor but dont have Taylor money? Then buy this guitar. It has great tone, loud round sound, and great looks (especially the red one). This guitar has been great for me i play a wide variety of stuff and it keeps up. My only complaints are the strings you get from takamine this guitar has a solid spruce top and a jumbo body which mean that the sound is very brite too brite some times but change the strings to something a little more mellow and that irons out. Other than that this is a wonderfull guitar.

Amazing

I was introduced to this guitar by my old roommate and it sounded truly incredible during his live shows. Well I traded a Jackson dinky for the Takamine g523 and it I still don't regret it. Ive played martins and Taylors that cant match the sound quality of this guitar. The closest thing that I have found that beats this guitar is a Gibson songwriter acoustic which costs about 2 grand, you wont be sorry with this guitar. Get a professional setup done and its GOLDEN!!!

Gorgeous

WOW!!! this guitar is absolutely incredible!!!!!!!! I removed the split bridge and discovered that the action on this guitar is very easily adjusted do to the plastic spacers underneath. I took all of them out. the action is extremely low yet this guitar doesn't buzz no matter how hard i strum!!!!!!! (i use med gage elixer nano-web) And the sound quality is unbelievable!!!! The pick-ups are great too!!! Check this guitar out!!!

Great Guitar

First of all I would like to thank Guitar Center for helping me descide what guitar would suit me well. The Takamine EG523SC is by far the best acoustic electric I have played. The sound of this guitar is very warm and the tone is amazing! I really enjoy playing all types of music on this guitar, like blues, rock, classical, and alternative. It plays all of these very well. The easy of playing is very nice, with a very quick neck and the jumbo body is very nice for my size arm When plugged in to a amp this guitar purs. I used a Marshall 10 watt and it sounded good, but of coarse lacked the warmth due to the face that the amp is not good for acoustic electrics. I have heard and played the guitar in a correct amp and was blown away! The looks of this guitar are amazing, such detail! The inlay is very nice. The elegance of the wood is fantastic. I really enjoy the wood grain that can be seen on the guitar. The tuners have a detailed Takamine logo on them which I think is a very nice touch. Also by far one of the nicest pick guards I have ever see,. The Electronics are easy to use, and understand. The tuner also does a good job of...well tuning. By far the nicest guitar I have ever owned.

Highly recomended

I own the Takamine EG523SC. I have played numerous guitars and owned quite a few as well. For me, the EG523SC combines all of my favorite features together into one easy and fun to play instrument! I love the tonal qualities this big boomy body boasts and I've gotten several compliments on the looks of my guitar. The built in tuner is so handy whether you on stage or just sitting at home playing. The wood quality of is wonderful and the action is marvelous. I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone!
