  • Stunning

Got off to a bad start with the order. Guitar came with a dent,(probably caused in shipping) and the case ordered with the guitar did not come close to fitting the guitar. After all It is a jumbo. With one phone call the Guitar Center brain trust went into action. In a week New Guitar and a jumbo Tak case. Perfect. Kudos to GC for their outstanding customer no-hassle service. Their recovery could be a text book lesson for other businesses I've dealt with in the past. This guitar is exceptional for the price. Big sound, nice, workable fret board and visually it is, in a word, stunning. The EQ, tuner, and notch set-up all work as advertised. I have yet to find any buzz anywhere. For the price I did expect to find blems and flaws. After a very thorough inspection... no issues. The fret sides were ground down perfectly and the inlays were laid down perfectly. While 6 plus bills may seem like a lot to pay for a guitar, I can assure you that you could spend twice this and not accomplish some of the things this guitar can do. You will want to keep it for life. Another wonderful, reasonably priced musical instrument from Takamine. WOW

  • Spectacular Performance

As reviewed by Sarp Kemaloglu on 5/1/2008

Guys, I have owned several expensive Gibson's for years, and I've had the EG523SC for a year now and I can't put it down, I'll tell ya that. This is, believe me, nothing less than a Gibson. It has the looks and the great comfort in playing. The jumbo body gives not only great looks to the guitar but outstanding crisp steel sound with emphasized bass tones. The tuner helps a lot, too. For this price, I'm confident it's worth every penny.

  • Great Value

As reviewed by Tim on 10/5/2006

I've only had this guitar for about 3 months and so far there isn't much to complain about. The only problem i had with it was the action and that?s probably cause I got the floor model, but other then that it is absolutely beautiful. The built in tuner makes tuning a breeze, when others are fumbling with their tuners you just push a button and there it is. This guitar defiantly gets an A and that?s not even including the beauty of the guitar.
