A NEX acoustic-electric to play for a lifetime.

The Takamine EG463SC G-series NEX Acoustic-Electric Guitar combines quality and beauty in a signature Takamine hand-crafted body style. The guitar is built on the NEX/Grand Auditorium platform for a modern design—similar to the dreadnought in depth to ensure a great level of volume. The top has a pleasing, rounded profile that is narrow at the waist, yet broad behind the bridge creating a soundboard that offers balanced frequency response with deep bass, clear treble, and a sweet, round midrange that projects well.

This Takamine guitar starts with a solid spruce top for strong, continuous tone right out of the box. The back and sides are a 3-piece rosewood and quilted maple structure, providing well-rounded sustain. The tuning machines are gold with black buttons for precise tuning. The Takamine EG463SC also features state-of-the-art electronics in the TP4T preamp system. It includes 3-band graphic EQ and a tuner—a great addition for non-standard and open tunings. The Takamine EG463SC guitar has the feel of a small-bodied guitar, yet yields impressive performance—an excellent accompaniment for singer-songwriters, or finger-style players.

Built to Takamine designs in some of the most modern guitar shops in the world, G-series guitars are priced for every budget. The G-series guitar is every bit Takamine, from its acoustic performance to the latest in pickup and preamp design. These Takamine guitars are crafted from the finest handpicked tonewoods, hand-crafted by expert luthiers, all providing players with unmatched excellence and surprising affordability.

Amazing

I had been looking at Takamine, Taylor, Martin, Seagull, and a few others guitar brands. This one caught my eye right off the bat with its beautiful look. I knew that Takamines sound great live but most didn't achieve my standards when i play them unplugged... until I played the EG463SC. Beautiful all around look and sound and of course shines through an amp for the live shows. It has outstanding electronics including a tuner!! I recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a great sounding decent priced guitar.

GORGEOUS GUITAR

I just bought this guitar today, and when I first picked it up I loved it. It has a great feel, great sound, and it's a beautiful guitar. It was a little out of my price range, but it was worth every penny. I'd recommend this guitar to anyone.

That Magical Fit

Came in looking for affordable solid top acoustic electric. Tried out some nice Fenders, couple of low end Taylors and Martins. Each had nice features but lacked in certain others (sealed tuners, lousy action, unbalanced sound for my style) This Tak truly has it all. Was the last guitar I tried out and had to have it, bought it. Well balanced tone, sealed tuners, very easy to tune, smooth action and is just drop dead gorgeous with abalone inlay work. Just an incredible guitar for an incredible price, comparable to guitars costing hundreds more. Best acoustic electric I have ever played for the money, get it you can't go wrong!

What a Great Buy

I am just getting into acoustic rock and own some expensive guitars, my favorite a 57 Historic RI so I like/expect good quality from my instruments. Being this was to be my first acoustic I was hesitant to drop a large some of cash not knowing if it was something I would enjoy in the end. So I started looking at the epiphone hummingbird (I would love to have the real deal.) Well while I was giving the epi a go over I saw this Takamine hanging there and was amazed at how well it looked. So I had to give it closer look see. WOW! The sound was MUCH better. I even tried some of the more expensive Takamines and this puppy stayed right there. The sound is great, the neck is great, action low and the tuners very precise. The back of the guitar is truly a work of art. I ended up taking this bad boy home and have been impressed every time I have picked it up. The tone is amazing. Did I mention the back was beautiful?

Planned on spending more money than I did

I went in looking for an $800 guitar that played easily, looked good, and sounded great. Instead, I walked out with this beauty for $300 less. I tried almost every guitar in the store including Martins, Taylors, Epiphone, and several others. Then I picked this one up, and was first totally impressed with the looks. Then I played it, and was blown away with how easy it was to play, and how great it sounded. I really tried to beat this guitar, even with another Takamine that cost more, and just couldn't do it. Everytime I look at this guitar, I'm thrilled with how great it looks, and how much I'm enjoying it. WOW.....get one, you'll not be sorry.
