This is a great acoustic-electric guitar. You cannot go wrong with Takamine. I bought this guitar awhile back to perform acoustic songs during shows and it hasn't let me down yet. The life of the preamp battery is long and the sustain on the notes is incredible. It is also great played acoustically around a campfire.
After playing a Fender Acoustic for the past 6 weeks, I finally decided to move into a Takamine. It's always been my dream guitar but the budget didn't make it possible. I found this guitar and GC had a special after Christmas discount. I put them together and today picked up the guitar. I haven't stopped playing it since I picked it up. The sound is wonderful and it is a beautiful guitar. It's like a Grand Piano in an Acoustic with the black and white. So pleased and so glad I traded. The Fender was fine, but this guitar is a life long keeper. One thing I would recommend is have your local Guitar Center install a 2nd guitar strap button (if that is what you prefer). There isn't one on this guitar. It is in expensive and they do a great job. I had them install mine before i even picked it up. Pull the trigger. You will love this guitar!
In my opinion The Takaminie G-series is the best giutar for your money. I have have been playing this series including this guitar for a few years now and love it. You won't believe the sound when your plugged in! I always get positive comments. If you like a bright sound put lighter strings on. If you want a more richer sound go with a thicker pick. This guitar is amazing! If you want a great giutar and don't want to spent a fortune this is it!
