One of the coolest things about drumming is the way you can set up your own personal piece of stage. No other member of the band owns their space quite like you do, surrounded by racks and stands loaded with drums and cymbals of every kind. There's no real limit on what you can incorporate into your drum kit, and when you want to add something that doesn't necessarily have a traditional stand of its own, then it's time to set up one of the specialty racks, tables and trays for drums that you'll find in this section.
If you have a lot of bells, blocks, castanet machines and other unique percussion instruments to mount in your kit, check out the LP Everything Rack. Topped by a 22" bar, it gives you plenty of space to attach six instruments with the option of positioning them above or below to get them just where you want them. If you've got a Pearl trap table, take a look at their Percussion Rack Add-on. It's a great way to maximize the use of your space by building upward on the gear you already have in place. For something even more versatile, consider tables and trays. Some of these come with their own stands; others are made to attach to an existing stand or rack.
With these accessories, there are lots of possibilities for what you can do. Hold a laptop for a software drum module? Sure! Store a smorgasbord of hand percussion to have within arm's reach all the time? Absolutely. You can even use a tray or table to hold water and snacks to keep yourself hydrated and fueled during a gig. It's all up to you. Percussion is already one of the most versatile roles in a band, so it only makes sense for your setup to be versatile as well. Whenever you want to have something at your side and you're not sure how to get it there, putting it on a table, tray or specialty rack is probably the solution.
