Ok, if you ever have a Gibson SG you might notice that the headstock is angled at the end of the neck. This makes it very risky to carry around your sg in a gig bag especially when leaning it on something, because of it's design if you were to accidentally bump the guitar the headstock would be the first thing to go. I really recommend getting this case, it safely holds the neck of the guitar up inside the case so no damage happens to your headstock. I've had this case for about 3 days and so far it has proven to hold up very well despite the random smell of play-doh.

Don't be fooled by all the glowing reviews; this is a cheaply made case that isn't worth half its asking price. The gold hardware on mine was so cheap and rough that I cut myself on it while removing the case from its packaging. Such crude pot metal does not belong on a $115 case. Not only that, but it was installed incorrectly at the factory, so that the top and bottom parts of the hardware don't line up by more than a quarter of a inch. From what I've read elsewhere this problem is more common with these cases than you'd think. To add insult to injury, the riveted TKL logo was visibly canted. While most of the other materials used in its construction appear to be of decent quality, the horribly cheap latches and gross lapse in quality control spoil what could have otherwise been a great alternative to the massive ripoff that is the Gibson OEM case, which is reportedly of *slightly less* shoddy construction at double the price. As I opened my new TKL SG case in disgust, having discovered the aforementioned issues, I couldn't help but note with amazement a tag attached to the center of the case reading ""Made in Canada"". Really? If this particular atrocity is truly representative of what currently passes for quality standards in North American production then I'm afraid there is indeed little to recommend it over the cheap labor of the Far East. As for me, I'm returning my TKL SG case and trying a Gator.

    Quality Case for Normal Usage

    By John

    from Clifton, NJ

Comments about TKL Premier Double Cutaway Electric Guitar Case:

This is a great case to protect you SG for all normal purposes; the only reason that I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because I wouldn't trust it in international travel. That's why when I took my SG Raw Power abroad with me, I upgraded to a molded plastic case. Otherwise, for everything other than air travel, you can't go wrong for an SG case.

    best case ever

    By caulin

Comments about TKL Premier Double Cutaway Electric Guitar Case:

o.k. ive had this case for about a year now and ive got to say this is the best case ive seen for ANY guitar ... my dad (whos been playing for 46 years) has a rare oxblood 90's run les paul and a jimmy page signature case and even that combination doesnt work as well as this case and my sg ... it holds nice and tight but not too tight as if a it was made to its exact measurements ... if you have the money BUY IT!!!!!!!! ... also do not worry about the handle if it jiggles it is completely nothing ... it is simply because of the handles shape

    indestructible!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    By joe carlson

Comments about TKL Premier Double Cutaway Electric Guitar Case:

THis case is all but indestructible!!! about 5 months ago i ran this case over in my moms van accidentally. when i checked on it, i discovered that, although the top of the case was scraped up and cracked ( as it should be considering that 3 and 1/2 tons of steel just ran it over!) but as i opened it, the guitar was fine. it wasnt even out of tune! Buy this case. They might be a little bit pricey, but it saved me from buying a new guitar!

Comments about TKL Premier Double Cutaway Electric Guitar Case:

This case fits my Epiphone 1966 Ltd. Ed. G-400 SG guitar perfectly. Nice, snug fit. Good sized accessory compartment. I like the way it suspends the peghead in the case. Some people have complained about an odor, but mine has no odor at all. If you have an SG, get this case.

    TKL SG Hard Shell Case

    By Fred

from Dania Beach, Florida United States

Comments about TKL Premier Double Cutaway Electric Guitar Case:

Nice-OK, case for the money. I got it instead of the Epiphone case because I got a Prophacy SG with the Gold hardware and the case hardware matched. The hardware on the case is a little light weight and has a hard plastic handle. The guitar fits REAL tight so be careful not to peal back the lining in the lower bout section. (like I did). If I got a guitar with the silver hardware I would have been well satisfied with the Epiphone case. TKL is OK in general but, unless you need to go for the Gold, I'd stick with the OEM cases.
