pros: solid plywood construction. cons: cheap covering that isnt flush at the edges exposing white threading. tiny pastic handle. highly overpriced. undecided shoppers should check out the epiphone jumbo case. its $40 less, a good deal if you could look past the logo on the lid
I bought this case for my AEG IBENEZ GUITAR. Fit was to big, but thats not the issue. The issue is after three days and moving the case a total of three times no more than 20 feet. The outside contact paper, and I do mean contact paper, ripped exposing the plywood, and there was a chip out of the bottom. I have a Fender Accoustic in a case I have had for six years and it still looks brand new. The TKL case lasted three days what a shame the padding on the inside was fantastic, maybe they should have been a little more concerned in manufacturing about how the outside would hold up. GC was understanding and for 9 dollars more I got a Road Runner Molded Dread Case. Yes this is a lil big too, but such a better case for the money 99.00. My guitar is hard to fit in any case its a wierd size. Thought about the Ibanez case that fits it perfect, but it has been suggested that this also is a TKL CASE... so I bypassed that. It gets a 1 star for the plush interior.
I have a Washburn J9 that I couldn't find a case for anywhere, including Washburn. They suggested this brand, saying that they would most likely have a case to fit their oversized guitar. I measured the guitar to ensure that it would fit the case. I got it super fast and it fits perfectly. As far as cases go, I'm completely satisfied with it. It's sturdy and does what its supposed to. It's covered with the same material as other cases so I don't see what other people are complaining about. The handle and latches are quite sturdy and actually better than I expected. The case did have a small nick in it when I got it. No big deal because it's a case to protect my guitar. Still looks and works great!
