This one is for the music fans. The TEAC TN-200 is a great-sounding belt-driven turntable for those of you who want to enjoy the full range of vinyl classics and reissues. The built-in preamp provides line outs and a USB out for connection to almost any sound system, and the USB output can also be used with recording software to archive your vinyl collection or add it to your mobile playlist.
The belt drive motor on the TN-200 reduces vibration for sweeter, more accurate sound than DJ direct-drive turntables. An aluminum die-cast platter and anti-skating system provide a solid foundation for great-sounding playback. The high-performance, upgradable MM cartridge captures every detail on your record, and the static balanced straight tone arm ensures clean playback. It’s all housed in a handsome case with a flat black finish to fit any décor.

Comments about TEAC TN-200 Belt Drive Record Player with USB Output:
Tascam/TEAC seem to have gotten the budget turntable down with this one. This is a belt driven turntable, so it is not suitable for scratching. If you're buying this for listening and sampling, however, it does have some great features for the price. You can use your own needle and cartridge (be aware that the included headshell is angled, so if you replace that be sure you can adjust the angle of your cartridge so the needle rests correctly), it has an adjustable counter weight, antiskate, and a built in phono preamp (you can hook it directly into powered speakers or anything that accepts line level). The belt drive is quieter than direct drive, so it is a cleaner sound than my previous turntable, although there is a hum/electrical sound when the volume is cranked, perhaps from some grounding issue.
The main differences that I see between this and the TN-300 is the TN-300 is available in nicer looking finishes and comes with a better needle, so if you already have a good needle, this is a great deal. If not, then the TN-300 may be a better deal since you'll get a nicer sound out of the box without having to replace anything. The included needle isn't bad, but it's definitely one of the things TEAC saved money on.
The build quality isn't the most robust I've ever seen, but it is much better than a lot of other tables I've dealt with in the same price, and it comes with a dust cover. It was very easy to set up. Would recommend!
