Kick your vocals into high gear with VoiceTone Harmony-G XT. With improved harmony technology and reverb compared to its big brother VoiceLive 2, Harmony-G XT will improve your tone and surround your voice with pro effects and vocal harmony.

Easy Harmony Generation
The TC Helicon Harmony-G XT has a good ear for music. It listens to your performance and decides what harmony notes would sound best with your song. Connect your guitar and a mic, choose one of the presets, play guitar and sing. No special guitar pickups, pre-programming, or extensive musical knowledge are required in order to use this vocal harmony effect pedal.

Choose Your Sound
The TC Helicon Harmony-G XT puts you in control of a wide range of useful, exciting sounds. From a standing position you can switch through the five factory presets, each with a unique setting of effects, harmony and doubling and then choose the A or B effect within each preset. If you only need three presets or you want up to ten, this is configurable in Harmony-G XT.

The effect pedal lets you edit the presets easily and store them as your personal combination. The "FX" for each preset can be selected as well. Each of the categories of Hall, Room, Echo, Slap, Combi and SFX has three alternates. These are more than just add-on effects. These are the real deal from VoiceLive 2 including combinations of reverb, delay andmod (micromod) that will put you and your harmony voices in a professional sounding, immersive space.

Overdub Live
In a recording you can layer your lead melody to create extra thickness. Live, it's not so easy. The Double button on the vocal harmony pedal activates a realistic, overdub style doubling effect on your voice that you can use alone or in tandem with the harmony voices. You have four options for doubling you can choose from: The default one voice with tightest humanization, one voice with looser and more natural humanization, two tight voices, and two natural voices.

Better Overall Tone
Don't let that simple-looking Tone button fool you. Beneath is a professional signal chain. It includes such settings as Adaptive Shape, a unique boom reduction and brightness enhancer, Compression for smoothing peaks and gently raising low level detail, De-ess, which reduces harsh consonant sounds, Adaptive gate, which helps to reduce feedback while reducing harmonized chattering of instruments when you're not singing.

Once Tone is activated, the TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony-G XT remains in effect when harmonies are on and off and even in Bypass so you can chat with your audience using the same great tone as when you sing.

Connect To Your Computer
The TC Helicon Harmony-G XT has a USB connection and a free, included web applet called VoiceSupport. It offers easy backup and restore of your presets to a computer, fast product registration and up-to-date news on software updates, and tips and tricks along with demo videos.

Easy to use. New improved version of the Harmony G. Adds up to two harmony voices in addition to doubling your voice for a total of three voices you can preset the combinations of a 3rd, 5th or an octave above or below your voice. This is plenty, don't think I will need anything more expensive or complicatied, sounds very full. Played in a band that used the Digitech Vocalist 4, this was less expensive and got bettter reviews than the Vocalist 2. Selection of reverbs are good. Works even with a plugged in ukulele instead of an acoustic guitar. Keep the uke(or any acoustic instrument) away from the mic so it won't bleed into the mic.

I got this machine for Christmas. It took about a day to learn how to use all the features. Tweeking the settings to get a balanced sound took a little experimenting. But programing was easy to do. I use the G XT twice a week at church, and it helps a lot when the backup singers can't make it. It generally makes your vocals sound fuller. It has a few weaknesses though. It doesn't work if you like to do any guitar finger picking style. No on-off switch is a pain. The worst thing is the power adapter(it's very cheaply made) and over time becomes loose in the power input. Mine has become so loose it will come off and on when I press the foot switches and crackles through the pa.

Amazing Little Machine

By Glenn

from Sulphur Springs TX

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony G-XT Vocal Harmony and Effects Pedal for Guitarists:

The TC Helicon Harmony-G XT is a solo performer's best friend. If you have decent vocals and can play clean rhythm guitar, this little box will not disappoint you. It will do amazing things and greatly enhance your overall stage presence. Even during the verse of a song where you might choose not to have harmonies, you can still take advantage of the vocal effects such as chorus, echo, etc. This was a great buy.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony G-XT Vocal Harmony and Effects Pedal for Guitarists:

I'm a home user, former live player, who had an old Digitech harmony box for years. I need ease of use, can't spend a lot of time learning new gadgets. The Harmony G XT is great in that regard: it works out of the box. Preset voice choices are good, usable. Effects are great. Most of all, the harmonies are goooood sounding! Then if you take the time to dig into the manual, you find there's a lot more flexibility and programmability under the surface. I bought this based on reviews, so was leery. Don't be. It does what it says. It's even helping me sing on pitch.

Solo Lead Singer is born!

By Haute Harry

from Vancouver, WA

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony G-XT Vocal Harmony and Effects Pedal for Guitarists:

I play acoustic guitar and have a barely tolerable ۡ̏back-up singerۡ voice. Using the Harmony G-XTۡs new downloadable feature, Pitch Control, I am now singing the lead on some of our Gordon Lightfoot and Beatles songs. Previously, I used the Harmony G and the Harmony VoiceTone Correct pedals, along with my L.R. Baggs Venue DI preamp for my guitar. This arrangement allowed me to send my voice to Channel 1 on our Yamaha mixer and my guitar to Channel 2. With the new Harmony G-XT, I can still get all the features of the Harmony G voicesۡ_ and many (but not all) the features of the VoiceTone Correct pitch correctionۡ_ and STILL split the signals into two channelsۡ_ using just 1 pedal! This is accomplished by connecting my guitar to the guitar IN jack. The Harmony G-XT uses that signal to correctly adjust its various harmony voices AND pitch to the notes I am playing. This ۡ̏voiceۡݕ_ signal is then sent via an XLR cable to Channel 1 so I can further tweak/balance my voice via the mixer. By connecting a ̴_ۡݕ_ cable to the Harmony G-XTۡs guitar ۡ̏Thruۡݕ_ jack, an ۡ̏effects freeۡݕ_ (meaning no reverb is added to the guitar signal) connection is made to Channel 2 on the mixer. This now allows me to fine tune (apply EQ and other effects) to my voice signal and guitar signal separately. (Although the Harmony G-XT can do somewhat the same thing using just one channel (via its XLR connection), the two signals cannot independently apply OTHER tone and effects; it can only adjust the degree of the built-in Harmony G-XT effects as they are applied to the ۡ̏summed signal.ۡݕ_ In fact, it is impossible to rid the guitar of the automatically applied reverb effect unless you use the ۡ̏Thruۡݕ_ connection.) The ability to select (and save) a specific combination of one or two high and/or low harmony voices to my voice is also a great feature. I just save the arrangement I prefer into one of the 10 presets, and then press one button (to cycle through the 10 choices) to activate that save configuration when I sing that song! Lastly, like the Harmony G, the G-XT model allows you to just press 1 button to use (or not) the added harmony voices. This is very handy when you want to sing part of the song as a soloist, yet be able to bring in the other voices at the chorus, or if you wish to talk to the audience between songs without sounding like a schizophrenic 3 voices!

TC got it right this time

By Eric

from Davisburg, MI

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony G-XT Vocal Harmony and Effects Pedal for Guitarists:

I had to special order this, since no store around me had it in stock. I bought the first Harmony G, and it was alright, but it would get flaky sometimes when holding a sung note and not continuously playing guitar, and had a couple other quirks. The G-XT seems to have resolve that issue, and the added choice of loose or tight doubling and harmonies, better choices of compression/de-esser mixes, the noise gate, way better reverb, and a very accurate manual selection(without a guitar)of key and scales make this perfect. I received my unit this morning and have played with it for the last 10 hours. This is everything I expected and more. Very, very pleased, and I'm extremely picky about my gear. This one going on the road with me next month.

Great for solo work & then some...

By BradM

from Trenton, OH

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony G-XT Vocal Harmony and Effects Pedal for Guitarists:

I was floored by Laura Davidson's demo of this product on TC-Helicon's site. Sometimes you feel there's hype with a demo, well this pedal exceeded my expectations. As an acoustic player, I'm picky about tone & noise. The vocals are super...NOT cheesy or robotic. But, the ability to follow my chord structure in playing is amazing. It could be easy to overdo it with this pedal, so i'll have to watch myself. Getting this latest version (XT) with the USB interface and the enhanced effects is the way to go. I paid the extra instead of capitalizing on last year's model price break...glad I did. Vocals are great, ease of use is superb, custom presets can be backed up. You'll just need to spend time laying your performance out a little differently to time when to switch in the effect.

trumpet player's thoughts

By Joe McCarthy

from Portland, OR

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony G-XT Vocal Harmony and Effects Pedal for Guitarists:

I purchased this item hoping for a quality tone doubler that would add to my trumpet sound a virtual trombone tracking me one octave below. Digitech's Whammy pedal has been accomplishing this tracking flawlessly, but its problems are enormous... Mic, then impedance transformer, Whammy, then reverb box, then direct box to get my signal back to low impedance and on to front of house. Loss of signal was a nightmare for sound guys. The G-XT adds an octave alright, but it decouples the additional pitch from mine, basing its added note on A being 440. Taking time to bend a whole note to get rid of sour clash is possible, but playing melodic runs is out of the question. Finicky rig. Engineers should include a means of doubled notes being based on vocal or horn intonation, not just tuning fork. We humans bend notes. Having said that, I am really happy with its low impedance operation, FX, the Tone button, the harmonies available. It is very well thought out. Sturdy. Easy to use. One other thing: it is touted as guitar accessory. Guess what! -it works flawlessly hooked to keyboard.. whatever voicings I have used allow the onboard computer to analyze chord perfectly and immediately and add harmonies correctly. Other than the octave-added tone being based on something other than "my" intonation, it is a very sweet box. I will rate it five stars, easily.

If you are a singer songwriter, you HAVE to get this! It is amazing. I can't say enough good things about it. It will almost make Elmer Fudd sound like Celine Dion! Very natural harmonizations and awesome auto vocal eq.

Must have for any Working Band

By BlindDogDay

from Las Vegas NV

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony G-XT Vocal Harmony and Effects Pedal for Guitarists:

I have always been able to sing the melody lines of most tunes we play, but when it came to harmonies I really struggled. Here was my problem, I would start to sing the harmony and then would go right to the others persons part and sing in unison, which is not a harmony of course, and very frustrating. In comes the Harmony G-XT and I just cant believe how amazing this unit is. Now bear in mind I have no affiliation with GC or TC Helicon so this comes from a working musician. We always sang a lot of the parts in unison which is pretty one dimensional and lacks a lot of width/fullness. NOT ANY MORE! Our first practice with this unit was amazing to say the least. It really made our tunes come to life. I set up one single preset and it takes care of 99% of our tunes which we play classic rock. My "A" setting was a single harmony at the 3rd, and my "B" setting was one at the 3rd and the 5th. My "A" setting handles 80% of all of our harmonies and the "B" setting is great for stuff like the Eagles and Journey. I sang "Seven Bridges Road" by myself and it sounds AMAZING! The settings really are very easy to set up and within minutes I had this up and running. The pitch correct acts like a trainer really. You can hear the correct pitch and correct yourself to the proper pitch, AWESOME PRACTICE TOOL! IF your band is struggling like we were with harmonies, find the money to get one these and you will sound like a million bucks really, this is no hype, it really works and sounds very realistic. Simply put I will never not have one of these any longer while I am playing music, and thats a fact! Cheers and Happy Tunes!

Exceeded Expectations

By Rick

from Austin, TX

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony G-XT Vocal Harmony and Effects Pedal for Guitarists:

I read many reviews on this as well as other similar harmonizers before deciding on the G-XT. Based on reviews as well as YouTube videos, I had set fairly high expectations on what I would hear with this device. Just using it with the presets, I was blown away! I have had it just over a week, and am finding myself dusting off old cover tunes (Simon & Garfunkel/America/Pink Floyd) as well as using it with my originals. The richness of the sound is truly remarkable. Worth every cent! I mainly play solo and have avoided certain songs because they sounded a little thin on my own... no longer! One item of note. You will need to have fairly decent pitch. This will not make you a better singer. Any 'wobbles' in the harmony I've noticed have been directly related to me not 'hitting the note'. When I go back over the passage paying close attention to hitting the right pitch, the sound is beautiful. Only drawback I've found is the same on all the stompboxes I own... a lot of the changes you may want to do require getting down to the box to make the adjustment (harmony level, ect). Overall, still well deserving of 5 stars!
